What a dissapointment

What a disappointment this turned out to be. As someone who has read countless mangas and novels dealing with reincarnation and time travel, I went in expecting at least a fresh twist or a tightly written plot. Instead, I got one of the weakest executions of the genre I’ve ever seen — a complete waste of Pond’s potential.

I’ll be honest: I was here only for Pond, hoping his talent would be paired with a compelling story. But, as I’ve said before, Thailand desperately needs to invest in good scriptwriters. The narrative was a mess from start to finish — riddled with loopholes, tonal inconsistencies, and logic so flimsy it collapsed under the lightest scrutiny.

Armin, the protagonist, was perhaps the most baffling reincarnation lead I’ve ever encountered. In most stories, when someone gets a second chance at life, they’re laser-focused on avoiding their past mistakes or preventing their tragic fate. Not Armin. He seemed determined to antagonize everyone around him, almost inviting death. Then, in episode three, he meets the so-called “love of his life” — and suddenly nothing else matters. Any idea of revenge, personal growth, or strategic planning evaporated into thin air.

The reincarnation premise was completely wasted, shoved aside for a generic romance that felt rushed and forced. If you’re here hoping for a smart, satisfying revenge plot, you’ll be just as let down as I was. Armin’s attempts at changing the lives of his aunt and friend were minimal at best — blink and you’d miss them. Instead, he was almost entirely dependent on TD, letting the story drag him along rather than driving it himself.

And don’t even get me started on the ending. Out of nowhere, TD’s stepbrother is revealed as the villain, with a last-minute motive that he was in love with TD. This plot twist came out of absolutely nowhere, with zero build-up in previous episodes. It felt like the writers were scrambling to wrap things up and reached for the most random idea available.

Honestly, if you remove Pond from the equation and replace him with any other actor, the flaws become even more glaring. The reincarnation element might as well not have existed — this could have been any typical Thai BL with nothing to set it apart. The romance angle came too soon, too shallow, and too conveniently, leaving the rest of the narrative hollow.

In the end, this was several hours of my life wasted on a show that had the premise to be great but chose to squander it at every turn.

Most spectacular bl of 2024

So I am here after finishing this beautiful show. First I was a bit doubtful about this show and Collab due to only 12 episodes. But my god they presented the story do beautifully and it makes a lot of sense. Personally for me this was better than the novel. The casting was on point btw. Every character felt like they came straight out of novel. All of them were cuteness maximised. I loved the story character and the actors, and along with that I loved the Ost this beautiful series has. For me this show is the best Bl of 2024 along with Century of love. Loved this loved this. Want more collabs like this....❤️❤️🤍🤍🤍

Honest opinion

Honestly, this drama had a lot of potential — in its world-building, its characters, and in the foundations of its story — but all of it was barely explored. I came in hoping it would get better, and kept watching… and watching… and waiting. But for me, it just didn’t deliver.

The biggest problem? The entire focus is on the ML and only the ML. His ambitions, his growth, his story. That’s it. And somewhere along the way, he becomes arrogant, detached, and — let’s be real — a little frustrating. One thing I usually love about Wuxia/Xianxia is how these dramas explore the journeys of all characters — their growth, pain, power, relationships — not just one person. But here, it was Xiao Yan supremacy and nothing else.

Let’s talk about Xun’er. First of all, can we just ignore the fact that she’s the ML’s first cousin and in love with him? 😬 But even if we do — their so-called “love story” had zero chemistry. Completely flat. Meanwhile, he had way better chemistry with his teacher, the poison girl, and even Medusa, who literally appeared like 3–4 times in total.

What annoyed me more was that all the women in the series just fall for him without any actual reason — it’s that classic harem setup, and I’m not a fan. Even the strong female characters were reduced to background noise. Medusa, Xun’er, Yafei, the poison girl, and even Nalan Yanran — so much potential, so little screentime.

Honestly, Nalan Yanran was the only one who seemed like a full-fledged person. She had her own motives, goals, and wasn’t constantly chasing after the ML. I wish we got more of her.

And then there’s the Medicine Elder — probably the only character I truly enjoyed watching. The Xiao Zhan cameo was nice, but let’s be real, he wasn’t even in half the series. Their friendship was okay, but even that dynamic faded under all the ML-worship.

And please — that whole “everyone just waits for Xiao Yan to save them” thing? So unrealistic, especially in a world where everyone else is also a cultivator. Why is everyone, including his seniors, so helpless without him?

And the music? Meh. Not memorable.

Final thoughts:
2/10. I finished it because I started it — but compared to the other Wuxia/Xianxia dramas I’ve loved, this one felt like a boring, uneven, and forced story that wasted the potential of its world and characters. Will I watch the donghua? Probably not anymore.

Wasted potential

I would have rated this even lower had I watched the final two episodes. I went in with such high hopes after watching the trailer—visually grand, high production budget—but the execution was simply not it. It baffles me how Mandi channel consistently refuses to invest in good screenwriters.

The show started off promising, even compelling up to episode 7. But once we reached episode 8, the storyline began to stagnate. Dragging things out for no reason, stalling progress—it was a frustrating watch. And then Chakrii got shot… and somehow everything fell apart even further.

I didn’t even bother with episode 13 after reading the wave of disappointment on Twitter. But what crushed me most was Ava leaving the competition—the very cause she was passionately fighting for, thrown away just like that. It screamed internalised misogyny. Why would a woman who stood so strongly for women’s rights suddenly back down? It felt like a betrayal of everything her arc was building toward.

And don’t get me started on Ramilpaytai. The chemistry? Electric. The potential? Immense. But the writers simply refused to explore their backstories, motivations, or even deepen their relationship. What a waste.

NetJJ had almost no screentime—again, wasted potential. ZeeNunew’s dynamic, while cute in the beginning, became repetitive and flat as the story progressed.

Also, why do Thai BLs keep glossing over major political and emotional issues like they’re nothing? The king was clearly a tyrant, and yet Khanin forgives him in the end? Why? What was the point of the rebellion? The prince who actually fought for justice died without fanfare, without purpose. It felt hollow.

A visually rich show that had all the right ingredients but lacked the one thing that truly matters: a strong, coherent script.

Enjoyed it

I was obviously here for Xiao Zhan, and as expected, he never disappoints. I mean never. The man has a gift — he takes any role and breathes life into it, and his portrayal of Zhang Hai was nothing short of phenomenal. The story, at its heart, is a revenge saga, but what makes it truly stand out is the heavy dose of political scheming, strategy, and power games. Normally, I am not the biggest fan of political dramas, but this one grabbed me right from the first episode and held me tight. Every little move, every word, every subtle look was part of a grand plan, meticulously crafted and slowly unfolding before our eyes.

And the ending — it was exactly the kind of payoff I crave. Everything came together like puzzle pieces snapping into place, revealing the grand design behind all the chaos. I’ll admit, as someone who prides herself on sharp instincts, I had already guessed most of the twists very early on. But that didn’t lessen the enjoyment — instead, it made me appreciate the craft even more, because seeing my predictions come true still gave me a rush.

Now, let’s talk about the female lead. What a badass. I adored her. Strong-willed, clever, and independent — she wasn’t just a side character, she was a force in her own right. Watching her maneuver through this dark world was so satisfying.

That being said, here’s my one tiny gripe: I just couldn’t feel the chemistry between Xiao Zhan and the FL. It’s not that they acted badly or lacked intensity in their performances — not at all. But something about their dynamic felt… detached. Maybe it’s because the revenge plot overshadowed the romance, or maybe because I was so laser-focused on Zhang Hai’s journey that the love line didn’t land with me. Whatever the reason, the emotional pull I usually look for in couples wasn’t there. And honestly? I didn’t mind too much, because the political intrigue and revenge narrative were so gripping that romance almost felt secondary.

Still, overall, this series is absolutely worth it. A thrilling mix of strategy, betrayal, and poetic justice — carried on the shoulders of Xiao Zhan’s brilliance and supported by a fearless female lead.

Final Verdict: Sharp, intelligent, and unexpectedly addictive.

One the best Cdrama

Let me just say it: Mysterious Lotus Casebook is easily one of the best C-dramas I’ve watched in recent years. From the very first episode, it had that rare spark—the kind that pulls you in and doesn’t let go. The execution, the storytelling, the characters—everything was just so tightly crafted and emotionally rich.

The plot was layered, full of mystery and clever twists, but it never became too heavy or complicated. It was always grounded in relationships, loyalty, and inner conflict. The balance of investigation, martial arts, emotional depth, and camaraderie was perfect.

Let’s talk about the three male leads—what a treat! Their chemistry, banter, and loyalty were honestly heartwarming to watch. The dynamic between them was one of the best parts of the show. They felt like real people with real burdens, yet their connection made it all feel lighter. I only recognized the actor who played Fang Duobing from Ultimate Note (and yes, he’s still such a cutie and super talented). But the other two leads? Absolutely nailed it. Their performances were full of quiet strength and emotion.

Now, I HAVE to mention the two female characters—Jiao Liqiao and the ML’s love interest. Both of them were written so well. No side-lining, no reduction to just love angles. These women had purpose, spine, presence—and the actresses gave such mature, nuanced performances. Loved them both.

The fight scenes were beautifully choreographed—clean, elegant, and emotionally loaded. And the way each case was handled made me excited for every next episode. It gave me that Sherlock Holmes meets Wuxia feel, but softer, richer, and more heartfelt.

Verdict: Mysterious Lotus Casebook is a must-watch. It’s thrilling, tender, smart, and full of beautiful relationships. Whether it’s the mystery, the brotherhood, or the quiet emotional punches—you’ll find something to fall in love with. 10/10 without hesitation.

A flawed experiment that dared to dream — and changed the landscape of Chinese BL forever.

Omega verse… from China? Are you kidding me? No one could have imagined this would actually happen..... yet here we are. ABO Desire is groundbreaking simply for existing, and I’m rating it higher purely because of that bold step. It’s not every day you see a Chinese production daring enough to touch the Omegaverse genre, and that in itself feels like a huge leap for the BL community there. Credit where it’s due: Desire 4 deserves genuine appreciation for creating the first ever alpha-beta-omega-enigma dynamic in the Chinese entertainment industry. The courage to introduce such a world, one so layered with power structures, instincts, and emotional intensity — is commendable. I’m truly thankful to the entire team for pushing those creative boundaries and making it possible.

That said, if we strip away the excitement of the genre itself and focus purely on the series’ execution, the flaws become impossible to ignore. The editing was choppy, the pacing rushed, and the direction uneven. Certain emotional beats didn’t have the time to settle — everything felt like it was constantly hurrying toward the next scene. The final episode was especially disappointing, as the LangTu couple’s arc was cut and edited so poorly that it lost all impact. I was genuinely looking forward to their story, and seeing it reduced that way was frustrating.

Still, I can’t help but appreciate the ambition. For a first attempt at such a sensitive and technically challenging concept, the cast and crew gave it their all. The actors clearly put in effort — you can feel their sincerity, even when the production quality doesn’t always support it. I only wish the team had worked with a more experienced director and editor, because the raw potential here could have turned into something exceptional with the right guidance.

So yes ...... while ABO Desire falters in its storytelling and editing, it deserves recognition for its bravery. It broke barriers, opened new creative possibilities, and made people talk. I’m thankful to Desire 4 for giving this genre a voice in China, and I genuinely hope their next project builds on this foundation with stronger direction, tighter editing, and the same fearless spirit.

So I watched this drama in continuation to other voice series. As much as I loved thriller genre, I must say this was not as good as other seasons. Especially after Do kand Woo death. His death in previous season was highly disappointing. His character was so good and complex that I loved watching him. One thing that I found absurd in Voice seasons was that nobody shot the actual criminal in the series but they shot a police officer in the head with the intention of killing him. His mental state was not good, but it was not taken into account.
Now coming to this season there were so many stupid mistakes in first few episodes tht I was literally banging my head on the wall. Ths mute sister of the ML made so many stupid mistakes in order to get killed. The main villain and the concept behind it was good but somehow I was not that impressed with the story line as there was no mystery in it to solve. It became repetitive and boring after a point of time. I didn't like the male lead much but let's hope they come up with a better storyline in Voice 5.

Summer of 2025

I don’t think I’m in the right mental space to write this review — but anygays, here we are. This drama just ended this week, and my heart is still caught somewhere between the moonlit joy it gave me and the aching emptiness it left behind. Revenged Love didn’t just entertain me — it consumed me. It made me happy — like genuinely, over-the-moon, can’t-stop-smiling happy — and it made me hurt. And honestly? Feeling both at the same time is a miracle only a few stories can pull off.

Let’s start with the obvious: the chemistry. My god, the chemistry. Tian Xuning, Zi Yu, Zhan Xuan, and Xuan Cheng — I have no words for the magic they created. This is one of those rare, rare series where you could take any two characters, pair them up in a scene, and the screen would sizzle. They made longing feel tangible, like if you reached out, you could touch it. And this wasn’t the high-budget, overly-polished kind of production — it was modest, but the acting? The commitment? Off the charts.

This isn’t a censored “brotherhood” BL. Oh no. This is an uncensored BL that aired outside China, complete with beautifully shot NC scenes that are tender, intense, and dripping with unspoken love. You can feel the comfort level between the actors — they weren’t just acting intimacy, they were living it in those moments. And that comfort, that authenticity, is what elevates this series into something unforgettable.

The story itself… the novel it’s based on had some problematic aspects, sure. But the way they adapted and edited it here? Chef’s kiss. They took the bones of the original and stripped out what wouldn’t work, leaving us with a narrative that still feels sharp, emotional, and deeply human. And come on — it’s China. We know when they want to deliver a BL worth remembering, they go absolutely stupendo-fantabulous. The best of the best.

I won’t lie — the editing in the final episodes let me down a little. Some pacing felt off, some moments could’ve been lingered on longer. But the songs, the cinematography, the soul of the story? Perfection. And the way both couples would just hold each other’s gaze — no words, just an eternity’s worth of emotions in their eyes — that’s the kind of love story that stays with you.

And yes, I have to mention this: the BTS footage is as addictive as the drama itself. These actors? Completely at ease with BL roles, laughing, teasing, and slipping effortlessly into their characters’ intimacy. It’s rare, and it’s beautiful to witness.

Also, Wang Shou — my beautiful, beautiful princess with a disorder. (And yes, I say that with every ounce of affection in my heart.) Special mention because he stole scenes in ways I wasn’t prepared for.

The last time I felt this alive about a drama was the summer of 2019. Now it’s the summer of 2025, and Revenged Love has carved itself into my memory forever. It’s the kind of series that leaves you with withdrawal symptoms — the aching kind where you can’t bring yourself to start anything new because you’re still living in its world.

So here I am, floating somewhere between Tian and Ziyu’s fierce devotion, Zhan Xuan and Xuan Cheng’s deep pull, and the bittersweet knowledge that it’s over. And I know one thing for sure — I’ll always remember this summer.

uncomfortable watch

A Taiwanese BL that began with a deeply intriguing premise but quickly turned into something emotionally uncomfortable and morally confusing. The story follows Xia Cha, an elderly man who transmigrates into the body of his deceased grandson, Xia Ze Fang. Now living in a young body, he encounters Ye Hai Yuan, a man who — in a karmic twist — happens to be the reincarnation of Xia Cha’s late wife.

At first, the idea sounds beautifully tragic — two souls finding each other again across lifetimes. But as the story unfolded, I couldn’t shake off my unease. Why was Xia Cha, who had already lived a long, full life and known love, given a second chance, while Xia Ze Fang, a young man who never even got to experience his own story, was erased completely? His body, his voice, his youth — all taken away without acknowledgment. Nobody truly grieved him. It was as if his existence didn’t matter at all.

That thought stayed with me throughout. I kept feeling an ache for Xia Ze Fang — unloved, unwanted, and forgotten by everyone, even by the narrative itself. The injustice of it made it hard to root for Xia Cha’s second chance at love, no matter how fated or soulful it was meant to be.

And then there’s Ye Hai Yuan, the supposed reincarnation of the grandmother. What struck me most was the inconsistency of his love — if he and Xia Cha shared such an eternal bond, why did he never love Xia Cha when he was alive? Why did affection only ignite once Xia Cha was reborn inside the youthful body of his grandson? That sudden shift made their romance feel unsettling — as if love depended on the vessel, not the soul.

The Promise of the Soul had the potential to be a profound meditation on reincarnation and love transcending time, but it lost its heart in execution. The premise was fascinating, yet the emotional balance felt wrong. Instead of a moving love story, it became a quiet tragedy about a forgotten soul who never got to live.

This drama was an absolute masterpiece. I genuinely can’t find a single fault in it. Everything—from the acting to the story to the cinematography—felt intentional, nuanced, and deeply moving.

Tontae was my main reason for watching, having adored him in Venus in the Sky. And my god, he did not disappoint. His performance here was raw, layered, and heartbreakingly believable. Every glance, every pause, every emotional beat landed perfectly.

The story itself was rich with symbolism, each visual and dialogue choice adding deeper meaning to the central romance. And then there’s the most special part for me—the Hsia twins. I’ve known them since HIStory 3: Make Our Days Count, and seeing them here alongside Tontae felt like such a gift.

The slow burn romance was immaculate. It didn’t feel staged or exaggerated—it was like watching two real people slowly, quietly, inevitably fall for each other. The chemistry was understated yet magnetic, pulling you in without fanfare.

And then… the ending. I had a feeling it was coming, but when it hit, it still gutted me. I am a shameless sucker for sad endings, and this one was bittersweet perfection—lingering in my mind long after the credits rolled.

A rare BL that manages to be both poetic and emotionally devastating in the best way possible.

My goodness, this was such an unexpectedly entertaining full-length BL drama! It’s available on YouTube, and honestly, it’s worth every minute. From the very first episode, the show leans fully into its comedic charm, and I genuinely laughed through most of it. The humour is sharp, playful, and perfectly timed — but what impressed me even more is how seamlessly the drama shifts into serious, emotional moments whenever the story demands it.

And let’s talk about Nut, because he absolutely carried this series. His role was not easy; it demanded comedy, dramatic range, emotional vulnerability, and a larger-than-life personality. Yet he delivered all of it so naturally. In the emotional scenes especially, he didn’t disappoint at all — his expressions, timing, and depth made the character feel real, lovable, and unforgettable.

The supporting cast also deserves credit for holding their ground. Each character felt distinct, fun, and meaningful to the story. Their performances added layers to the narrative and amplified the humour without ever overshadowing the central plot.

Overall, it’s a highly entertaining, well-acted BL that balances comedy and emotion effortlessly. Definitely give it a try — it’s one of those rare full-length dramas that keeps you hooked, smiling, and invested till the very end.

This series delivered exactly what the trailers promised — a visually stunning BL with strong performances and overflowing chemistry.

First finally got to play a negative role, and he absolutely ate that character. The sharp expressions, the controlled darkness, the subtle emotional cracks — he proved once again why he’s one of GMMTV’s most versatile actors. I’ve been waiting so long to see him in a villain arc, and he didn’t disappoint for even a second. Jimmy, on the other hand, made me so proud. His improvement from his early projects is honestly incredible. You can see the growth in his confidence, delivery, and emotional depth. And when you put Jimmy and Sea together? The chemistry was overflowing — soft, intense, magnetic. They carried the romantic tension effortlessly. The only thing I wished for was a more shocking mystery. Most of us predicted pretty early that First’s character was the villain, so the big reveal didn’t hit as hard as it could have. If the plot twist had been a bit more layered or unpredictable, this could’ve easily been a 10/10. But still, as a magical BL with excellent acting and gorgeous production, My Magic Prophecy delivered beautifully.

Peraya Nation, how are we? I missed Krist and Singto so much that seeing them together again felt like being reunited with old friends. Honestly, I never thought I’d get to watch them in their full glory again—but here we are. And my god, it was beautiful.

Krist and Singto are not just another BL pairing—they are the pioneers of the genre for so many of us. They helped shape the BL landscape, and without them, I’m certain half of us wouldn’t even be here as devoted fans (or fujoshis). Their on-screen presence is magnetic, their chemistry timeless.

The story in The Ex Morning was solid and engaging, giving just the right amount of romance, nostalgia, and emotional pull. It didn’t feel like a forced reunion—it felt like a natural continuation of what made them special in the first place.

I truly enjoyed every second of it. For long-time BL fans, this was more than just a drama—it was a heartfelt reminder of where it all began.

Beautiful drama with beautiful visuals

As a fan of Xiao Zhan it is my duty to watch him in Wuxia/Xianxia dramas. This drama was visually spectacular. The CGI and the characters were beautifully weaved in a good storyline. What surprised me was the female lead was cute and her acting. She did a really great job in portraying the character. Xiao Zhan as always was top notch in his acting. He never disappoints.
Strong female characters and their dynamics with each other also with the male characters was portrayed really well in this drama. I am a sucker for sad endings and I loved this drama . The female lead was strong improved herself through sheer hardwork, she had a spine always stands for what is right. I truly loved her character.
ALso this drama has some really good ost.
