Gore for Weak Hearted People Like Me
I repeated the previous episodes while waiting for the next one so technically I've watched this a few times. But I couldn't rewatch the whole series after watching the ending because it just pissed me off. The kids were straight up evil, the way they were treating Non. I just couldn't watch Non endure everything silently. He's betrayed by the one person he trust, and Phee who's supposed to be avenging him, fell for Jin for real. I like that everyone get the ending they deserved and I'm not mad at the ending either.
The NC scene between Tee & White in the first episode didn't serve any purpose, I skipped it altogether. I feel disturbed when I found out Fuaiz's (White) age later on. Also I agree with other reviewers saying the series was unnecessarily complicated but maybe because they needed it to confuse viewers.
I'm impressed with everyone's acting in this series. While Ta & Cooper was supposed to be the main leads, they were pretty much overshadowed by Barcode simply because of their boring character development. Phee acted like he wanted to avenge Non but ended getting cold feet. Jin's character was just downright disappointing, but even he was more interesting as a character than Phee. Mio's acting was impressive even though his true character was only revealed later in the series. I like complexity of Tee's character, initially he's just plain evil like Top and Por. Then we get the backstory and introduction of White, and revealed the human side of him.
The series also brings interesting topic like power dynamic, grooming and statutory rape.
