Was that in the original novel or was it just a censorship device?
In the original novel, LJ has a 9-year-old son. He married once with prestige woman but she already died for long time ago. In the original one that's kids have a lot of scenes because he lives with LJ and also has a big role in some cases. ZP is also his teacher.
As you know the original work is not BL, but it also didn't stage much about his past relationship rather than the woman is from a big family. She loves him first and wants to marry LJ, but her father hates LJ due to the political side. After she died at a very young age, he seems not really have any contact with that family. So that's it.
On paper it weren't BL & the book's not BL but the production might've put in BL elements to cash in at the time,…
Thank you so much! That's make sense why the episode really short. The total 29 episodes seem super shot for historical s+ project and each episode has barely 30 min which is super short though.
Actually I had read the original book before. I known the script writer use only the name and some setting to set plot wise because the original work is not BL at all, seems to be the crew of detective rather than two male lead with some fantasy object. But for the drama, it has some element that make me feel more sense of two male lead which can interpret as a BL story (for censorship) that's why it got cut some scene.
I just curious because they barely promote in the wetv platform in my country. I don't know another promotion, seems like the casts have an interview together, but don't know they put any promotion in Weibo or any place and very curious about it cuz it might set the standard of how to promoting the drama with two male lead from now on.
I like the production, the plot wise look good enough to recommend, not to hard to catch up and connect case to case smoothly and cinematography really outstanding.
I love this drama but can anyone please confirm for me if this drama got cut by censorship? I know that the drama has been delayed for on-air like 1 year. Some cutting seems to jump cur and the story cut really quickly. So I assume that the production seems got to cut an episode from the original plot? I heard this drama also s+ project but I don’t know much about the original plan. And are they promote this in China since it is two male lead (not BL) drama?
The drama has good cinematography but the story really jump cut.
This is the third time I’m coming back to this page after done watching the show. The first time that I watch is a real-time airing and this drama brought me to purchase the fast-track on wetv for the first time.
I would recommend you if you looking for a coming-of-age drama that has esport as a connection. The character development is well written. You will love all characters and cry a lot because of them. Lately, I have been recommended to a lot of new Wulei fans to watch this drama because Lu Xioapei is he one of the positive energy characters so far (yeah but he is stubborn sometimes)
I always think why this shows is so underate. However, still recommend it. Lucky to me that wetv in my country has a correct subtitle.
If you ask me to compare with other e-sport dramas I chose this win over King’s of the avatar. The way they create the battle scene is more exciting and because the story already ends in 36 episodes with family, and friends context this is the one full emotional e-sport drama for me.
However, if you have time reading King’s of the avatar novel is one of my recommendations as well. Because the story in the novel is long and gave you a lot of sense of friendship and portrays a lot of gamer lives that are full of information.
Love like the galaxy is one of tencents S+ dramas right? Are there any other S+ dramas out there that are good…
A dream of splendor, if you looking for mature character with senior actor/actress. Intense romantic scene. Good cinematograph. The story about dream and empower. The last part a bit rush but worth to watch .
Just wonder whether the book ending is the same with the series? Anybody know
From what I know the book extend some part after the ending such as they married, stayed at the border, fight. And they also gave a child. But Idk how long the story after that is in the book. But it has some. However, the ending of those characters is just like that.
In the novel, is lby mum really mentally ill or is she just pretending to protect him. Anyone can spoil me n help…
She pretends to be ill because she has a plan to revenge.
This is spoil about their relationship
- She is LBY's aunt, not his mother. - Her son was dead with all the Hua family, only LBY who was the son of the Hua general, and her alive. So she plans since then to revenge and for that, she pretends to be ill.
I am nervous about what CSS thinks and does when it is about empress since episode 32. And it really happens in EP33.
Creating the new tiger seal is a really big trouble that might damage CSS, Cheng family, Empress, and CP. This is going so big for 15 years old woman to try to do it by herself. CSS is truly determined on helping people she loves and cares about. (That’s good for her) but this is too risky to do. And she does it without asking anyone. It is just because she wants to protect the empress. She should learn to ask and lean on LBY at once if she really needs to help CP solve this problem.
I don’t know why she was so confident in her plan, she not even had seen the real seal. And this is about the tiger seal of the country!! And for god sake!! The crown prince and crown princess follow her plan to make a fake seal!! Are they really stupid or do they know LBY will help them because of CSS?
And I really hate how LBY protects her by sacrificing his family seal because he promises to protect her. I don’t know at the end, did CSS know how big trouble she made? CSS should aware of this case rather than advise CP to talk with the emperor to help Wang's family case. And this is the 4th caution from LBY to her about the royal family, politics, and danger.
I never care when CSS fights with other princess and ladies. I know she is only 15y, the character need to develop and grow up. But to create the fake seal is so big.
