XS is not as evil as people potrayed him. he always have his bottom line. in his discussion with Mr. Du in ep 20 he already said as invest banker he want a win win for every one. but Mr . Du is not align with XS. he is someone who will do anythink to achive his goal. even its mean to sacrifice a person. but XS someone who had bottom line. and this way of thinking not only happen because what happen to JH he is always like that. working with someone like Mr. Do is like a thicking bomb someday he can make XS to be his escape goat. so going out is a better choice

his project with Aneda is finish with a better deal. everyone got a better result than the initial plan. So he gain a good point for his career. he only sacrifice the first deal he made with Mr. Du which is a higher potition in Baoxin. But, it can't be called sacrifice now because even from all discussion between SX and Mr. Du before SX doesn't really agree with the way Mr. Du vision on investment, and at the end he believe that he should stay with his bottom line (from the start SX always believe there will always way to make a win win deal but not Mr. Du) so he choose to leave baoxin and change his deal so he can buy TY share.
First he only want to find a loan and investor to buy TY. but after the talk with his mom and his mom said that be bold with every decision you make. he decide to sold his assets too because he know his family always there for him. and the way he said "I was wrong" to his mom, this is what he got from try to run TY on JH behalf. when he first try to run TY he still think the system is old and the worker is not good enough, but still work base on JH anual planing and still got a good result and decide to bring the old worker to the new place. so he learn what his mom and JH want not only the profit but also decision for their own future.
SX buying TY can't be translate as "here I give you back TY so forgive me". bc if it what he want than he will not go. I see it as he said "I know what I am doing wrong, so I give it back to you". because now he know its not TY that make JH sad it's him thats why give her space and time.
I think he is not permanently abroad, because he doesn't bring Kid with him. and he also know that JH still not sign the agreement. that's why he is not dare to meet her. we all know JH never take help or money from people she hate so he think she still angry and hate him. so he stay away until WGL said that JH suddenly move to TY and work there but still not sign the agreement. he try his luck to meet her again. and ask the 3 question again. I love the detail of his expression when 2 questin he ask got the same answer as before. he scared that the third question will have the same answer too.

maybe because I never read the novel, I didn't got the impression that the story try to make CSS looks weak to elevated LBY character. what I got from EP 32 - 33 are they just make them stay true to their character and show us what flaws it can brings .
in EP 33 LBY always try to stop CSS to get involve in palace's problem without tell her the reason because he always try to protect her that way and think that was the best for her, he forgot that the wife he choose is someone who doesn't like to be kept in the dark, unrestrained, reckless, but also kind . CSS word to the crown prince just an advice about parent and children relationship and she only want to make the empress happy but for LBY, CSS kindness views as CSS meddling on court problem. LBY take CSS who know nothing about palace, court etc as a wife, so of course CSS wouldn't know that her kindness can harm someone else but instead telling her he reprimended her. CSS try to understand the palace live because LBY, its immpossible for CSS to not meddle.
In EP 34 CSS also stay with her character kind, reckless, and never think about consequences. Most of viewers naturally thinks CSS looked stupid because viewers know how sus is the crowned princess and how much LBY sacrificed for her. but CSS of course didn't know it, CSS is always nice to everyone nice to her but she also really bad at judging someone character {we can see it with how many times she misunderstand LBY action and word}. and the crown princess are cunning enough to use the empress to seek help from CSS but what I see is CSS don't really want to help the crown princess anymore after LBY apologise to her and ask her to take a rest in the palace (we can see that she take her time to go to the palace theres no rushness) but on the way she heard what the empress said about crown prince than she rushly go to crown princess to make the fake tally (she is doing something reckless again). why she doesn't believe that LBY will solve the problem? it back to what CSS said before she never put her hope to someone else because she scared of dissapointment. she scared that LBY will not help crown prince and that will implicate the empress.
than at the ceremony CSS see the tally is not what she made and finally relise how LBY is someone who can put her hope at. but she still have some dilemma on her heart because for someone who carefree and reckless most of the time protection would seen as repression and restrainer. the discussion with QQ and YY made her relise how much sacrifice LBY made for her and LBY protection is just protection nothing more.
and LBY also relise what he did wrong. what he love about CSS is her braveness recklessness and kindness. he always kept her in the dark. he said he like her but he never really bring her to his live he just want to know her live but not the other way. and he also relise that he is the one who like her first thats why he come to her and than bring her to his parent house so she will know about him more.
In EP 34 we can see how CSS told him about escorting her to palace when he doesnt agree instead got angry she try to coax him so she can got her bargain. and about anggagement party LBY discuss it with her and ask her opinion first. When the party start rather than being MIA LBY asked someone to inform CSS beforehand that she can do whatever she want to whoever. and we can see that CSS being more smart with her action and word. LBY keep his silence and watch CSS to solve her problem.
