I'll say watch the first ep of burnout syndrome and the second ep of melody of secrets to get a feel (i say second ep because the second ep is better quality than the first for melody of secrets). The things is both series have diffeerent vibes so you're expectations can't be the same for both.

It lowkey seems like dark shows just aren't your thing. I saw you on the Dear X mdl page as well really hating on it. Perhaps you should try watching shows in other genres.

At first i would have given it a 7 for its simple plot but i gave it an 8 in the end because of the actors would made it so heartwarming to watch.

It's been years since i read the webtoon but from what i remember i don't think they end up as a couple. It's ambiguous and open ended for them but we assume they will eventually date.
