I went with the untamed and it's amazing, i have seen 32 eps till now and I can't wait to finish work and binge a few more later tonight. This drama îs truly epic, one of a kind for sure, thank you a lot for the recommendation, i really have no words to describe how much i enjoy it.

I can't belive it's been almost 10 years since I've watched this drama. I am a huge fan of sageuks, I have seen sooo many în the last 15 years or so, but to this day, it is still the best historical drama ever. Nothing beats this drama, not even queen seon deok. It's such a shame they don't make dramas like this anymore.

I have seen a lot of historical dramas, korean and chinese, old ones like queen seon deok, Bubu jing etc, as well as new ones, scarlet heart, moon embrancing the sun etc, but empress ki will forever be the best sageuk for me. You def should give it a try.

I have seen the first 2 eps of ashes of love and it's ok, going to try a few eps of love and redemption as well and see which one pulls me în more. Thank you.

Thank you, I guess it is worth a try. I guess it can't be as bad as swordman 2013, was a pain to finish that drama.

Oh, I have only seen a few eps of eternal love, around 10 at most, but I did watch a lot of mvs and I really tried to get into it, but idk, it just didn't work for me. Probably because I was still into ice fantasy, it was the first drama of this sort that really got me bad (well not really the drama on itself, more like the second leads story) , I still think of it 5 years later. I guess it was bad timing, I would have probably enjoyed it if it weren't for my withdraws.

As someone who is not much into wuxias / xianxian dramas, but loved ice fantasy (mostly because of yand da and Kong shi plot line) would you recommend this drama to me? I am in the mood for something really epic and I am torn beween this drama, love and redemption, ashes of love and the untamed. Dunno which to start, hence if i don't like it, it's going to take awhile for me to pick up another of this genre. After i finished ice fantasy, i tried eternal love, but it didn't really click with me, so I put chinese dramas on hiatus for a few years. I want something really epic, with a lot of angst, bad female or male lead turning decent once they fall în love, hidden feelings, not knowing exactly until the very end what to expect, things like that. I don't care if it's a sad or happy ending, as long as it has closure.

Yea, that's the one. I didn't know it was plagiarized, but I know that to this day, it's one of the most famous cdramas out there, along with nirvana on fire, but idk, they just don't click with me for what ever reason.

Oh, I see. I haven't seen many cdramas, I mostly watch kdramas, but except for the palace ones, i did watch chinese paladin 3, mostly
for the second couple, swordman 2013, because I though the second fl was interesting (sort of like Yanda), and ofc ice fantasy and ice fantasy destiny. I did try to watch eternal love too, but that was right after I finished ice fantasy and I gave up on it, because my mind was still caught în ice fantasy.

Yea, I kept searching for something similar, but coudn't find anything, sadly. I will give be reborn a try, but tbh it's not really my cup of tea. Thinking of trying either ashes of love or the untamed, they both have good reviews. I am not really into cdramas, especially wuxias, i prefer the palace ones, but these days i feel like watching something similar to ice fantasy. Thanks for the reply!

Hey, can you recommend me some drama that has a similar "romance" like yan da and kong shi had? Like we do know for a fact that she loves him, but we don't know much about his feelings untill the very end? I like the guessing factor, it was quite intriquing and to be honest the real reason why i became so involved with ice fantasy. I kept waiting for a love declaration from his part or some sort of closure for them. I did watch ice fantasy destiny too, so in a way i did get that, but here i am, 5 years later and I am still hoping for a third part... Or at least something similar to their relationship.
