I disagree re the chatacters being likeable the ML is a gormless selfish useless man. I spent 10 episodes to see…
That is a good point. His thoughts and actions towards his first wife were icky. I guess these things are so ingrained around our society and the production succeeded in making him sympathetic (to me), I did not take it into account. Also, I know I have women in higher view than men, so I honestly do not expect very much from men, real or fictional.
I noticed the rating continues to drop and from the comments the relationship between the leads is toxic. I'm…
The ML is human garbage (the character not the actor), the SML is not much better, FL is very flawed. There is no character growth, the romance is The Plot not the backdrop, the mental problems are just a plot device for "the romance". For more info - there are some great reviews in the reviews section.
people here on MDL should get a life because being so mean with something that doesn't exist is really a serious…
You can't truly hate without loving first. The beginning of the series was very, very promising. Top tier production, acting, story. We were enchanted, we invested our precious time for a healing and fulfilling story of dealing with serious mental problems. It is episode 11 and I did not yet witness any sort of healing, no fulfilling character growth, so I very much understand the hate that this show is getting.
Serious question, did AI write this show? Can anyone explain the logic and purpose behind the series? Wasn't romance suppose to be the backdrop in the story of healing? Why is romance suddenly The Story, The Plot?
Why do you see their former relationship as toxic and abusive? He broke up with her for a stupid reason which…
Because Hyeon O takes away all or almost all of Eun Ho agency, he makes decisions for her (not telling about the real reason for break-up, about grandmas - he decided that she will not want to join the family; later he watches her like a hawk, weather she isn't dating anyone and trying to eF up her plans, and many many other instances). Did you watch the 10th episode, how they started their relationship? He just left her hanging for 6 months without ever saying a word to her! When they work together!!!! Why? Because he was offended by something? During the whole show you can see that his communication and emotional capacity is that of a toddler. I don't know about you but I like my women heroines to be dating men. Not 37 year old children.
There is a difference between not being in a relationship and being alone. I'm pretty sure none of us thought…
Yes!!! The writer had whole series to transition ML from dislikeable to likeable (I quite thought that Eun Ho was unlikeable at first), if it is writer's plan. If not, the only path I see, is for them to separate for good. I don't believe it possible to redeem that man in two upcoming episodes, there's just too much dirt in the water. Ether he finally man's-up and completely lets her go (starts his own therapy), or she kicks him out as she should. ... Or the easiest route: there's a loss of memory and a time jump......
Very insightful deduction and empathetic view of the characters. I do hope very much that in the last two episodes we will finally see some accountability and healing without the story succumbing to melodramatic romance.
Jung Hyeon O is a living, breathing and walking Red Flag. To be unable to this level to articulate and even understand your own self, your emotions... Just whut?! This is fiction and I have no issues Ju Eun Ho ending up with him (two trauma scared people healing and all that); but in real life? Such people should at least start to admit they have problems and start to sort them out Before seeking some one else (a.k.a BF/GF) to heal and make them feel better about themselves.
