It seems like Taisui preys on your doubts, fears, and weaknesses, that's why he says he lives in everyone's hearts He was trying to figure out DFQC's fears and DFQC thought he didn't have any, so he thought Taisui can't take over his body and mind. But clearly our DFQC is a lover boy and Taisui hit the weak spot by saying what if XLH forgets you? etc etc and that casted doubt in our DFQC, because XLH is his weakness, his strength, but his weakness as well.. so that little break in his mental state was enough for Taisui to slip in and take control.
