If you don't have any problem watching a pedo on your screen, then its okay. As long as its outside original streaming…
correlation doesn't mean causation. ;) If she indeed hadn't reach the age of consent when they had sex, and he broke the law I will be happy if he went to jail. If he hurt her and is a bad man, but didn't do anything illegal, I hope karma gets him (although I stilll do not wish him death). But if it turns out he's innocent, I hope you will have enough self reflection and learn from this. I wish you a pleasant end of the day, full of fact checks and critical thinking.
and how will a drama review on MDL ruin him pls this is nothing it’s even crazy on twitter
Youu have no idea what you are talking about. Have you checked any sources about 4B movement, other that tik toks made by foreigners that never been in Korea and never even gave you the source of their claims?

There is something callled 'age of consent', in law. Meaning you don't have to be officialy an adult to legally have sex with an adult - you just need to reach the age of consent. In my country you have to be 16 (or at least it used to be 16 when I was a teenager). So if she was 17 and they were together and had sex - it wasn't illegal, hence he wasn't a pedo. Edit: it wasn't illegal unless they prove that he forced her, of course.

You do realise that according to the law of that time she WASN'T a minor, so EVEN IF they had a relationship, it wasn't illegal? Pictures don't tell you if they had sex or not btw. Whether you like it or not, it's up to you, but if he didn't do anything illegal, why do you try to punish him? Because he didn't meet your expectations? You don't meet mine, should I call you names and put you to jail because of it?

And he isn't the only actor in this show, so you are trying to punish all of the people that worked on this series, just because of one guy that YOU SUSPECT hurt others. Grow up

so why do you do your childish 'boycott' here if MDL doesn't matter? What if I told everyone here that you sexually assaulted me and urge them to hate you and push you to death? Would you like that? What would you do if he killed himself tomorrow because of such posts as yours and in a few months it would turned out he wasn't even guilty? Do you think the public lynch that happend to the actress and other celebrities that died was any different than what you do now to him? It's seriously disgusting...
I think it'll end up being a cheap melodrama. Shame, cause the first 2 episodes were interesting. 406 keeps calling…
What I am trying to say is that he's not pretending to be friends with the caller anymore to find who that person is, he's just straight up telling them his secrets that he protected for so long, risking that they will be exposed. Building trust in negotiations is about showing that you understand the other person perspective, this is not what he does. What he does doesn't make sense at all. The writer could've even easily involve them in an exciting relationship - they could've play games like in the beginning when he asked 406 to wait, make them more and more interested in each other and show how they both wait for the call. It could've nicely built up to the climax that we are about to experience, but no, it looks like the writer suddenly lost interest in this and focused on their romance - now they only use these calls and 406 in general to show how much ML loves the FL, nothing else. And from what I saw in a teaser, he will just accept what happend in the first 10 mins of the next ep.
wow, is no one else annoyed at the fl? like, she is so stupid. i wished she would have handed over 406's phone…
I think it'll end up being a cheap melodrama. Shame, cause the first 2 episodes were interesting. 406 keeps calling the FL 'unnie' which is used only by women towards their older sisters/ girl friends, so I'm suspecting that it's her sister behind all of this cause she got jelous or for other stupid reason (I hope I am wrong though)... But the ML is also being stupid all of the sudden, talking with the perpetrator like they were friends, and in the new episodes he didin't even seem interested in solving the case anymore, all he does is being cringey-romantic.
SML is so annoying, like go scream at your dad, it's him who didn't keep it in his pants tf, he didn't asked to…
You seem to not understand how the relationships with elders of the family look like in Korea. If you're thaught for all your life that you owe your parents and have to repay them by being fully obedient, how else would you behave. You can see both of his parents playing this card all the time. People there very often cannot even get married without the parents' approval. They'd rather end their relationships than go against the parents. So no, he's not a childish jerk, he was forced by his mother to behave like this, even though he evidently does not have the same feelings towards Ji-uk as her.
You just missed the whole point of this drama :D It's not a romantic comedy it's a satire :D That's why it's so cringey. They used all the possible cliches, but twisted and overemphasized them showing how absurd some of them are. It's not supposed to be cutesy-funny, it's supposed to be ridiculous. They also deconstructed Cinderella fairytale here. It's a very cleverly made piece of drama. It's sad, that people are so brainwashed with the meaningless content that they don't even notice it.
Intersting, cause it's quite easy for me to know what she's thinking and what she's feeling. I would be extremely…
I agree that it's subjective. :) I personally enjoy more subtle acting.
I have just rewatched the waterfall scene and this is what her face is telling me: she's trying so hard to convince him that she only hates him, but he doesn't believe it. That's why he's provoking her to kill him. Then she looses her composure and we stop seeing those little sarcastic smiles from before, she's getting all teary. Then she brings back the 'resting bitch face' and puts the act on again. But she's already equally angry at him and at herself cause she knows that he's right. She pierces him with the hairpin to prove him that he means nothing to her. At the same time, she's on the verge of crying (hence the crumpled face - she's doing her best to stop the tears) which tells the viewer that it's actually otherwise. His kind reaction surprises her, she's also evidently touched by his love and when he puts the hairpin back I can easily see the love in her eyes too. An then, after 'Allright, I'll listen to you', her face portrays the fight between her love for him and her pride, but in the end the pride wins and she leaves. To me it's so emotional that it hurts.
Anyways, maybewe interpret it differently because of a sociocultural/generational difference. Thankfully there is plenty of c-content that each of us can enjoy :)
Out of curiosity: if you find FL acting to be bad, why did you rate this series a 10?
Intersting, cause it's quite easy for me to know what she's thinking and what she's feeling. I would be extremely…
As I said, I see these emotions and I really don't understand what you are talking about ;) I pointed the same scene as an example of her showing emotions. Also, she took off his arm, only after she helped him and made sure that he's stable and can stand on his own. She did that to tease him and I find it super cute :) They were teasing each other for the whole scene. No one was ruthless here :D

I've just told you I see a lot of emotions coming from her, they are just more subtle that it's usually presented in C-dramas :) For me, Jiang-li emotions were often cringey and 'overacted', but I know it's normal in Asian dramas, it's just a bit different type of acting than we usually experience in the Western content. It doesn't mean I didn't like the drama though. 'Smart and strong' in my reply were related to the previous sentence about the revenge, not to the part about the emotions. And this is how she presents herself outside of the romance. She is very consistent in her goals and slowly realises them one by one. She's not easily swayed by the feelings, when they are about her, but gets very emotional when it comes to "her people". In one of the scenes with the 2ML she even told him, that she can't forgive him, because he sacrificed her people, not because she was nearly killed. She plans everything meticulously and to every detail (as she did at the beginning). 'For someone who's being through so much in life, where are her emotions?' Actually, it's very common to hide the emotions after the trauma, most people do it. The most common example are relationships, the more one were hurt before, the more cautious they are when they meet someone new. I am talking about the real life. It's interesting that you mentioned Ren Ruyi, cause in the beginnig she was quite emotionless and ruthless too, for exactly the same reasons (that's why I also liked her so much :) On the other hand, Li Tong Guang was so emotional that I couldn't stand it. As for ShenLi, I can't really say much, cause first couple of episodes bore me to death, and to me she wasn't strong and smart at all during that period. It was classical theme where FML is presented as smart but if not for the ML she would die in first 10 minutes. But to each their own. It's also funny to me that you started your first comment with "I know how much yall love to tussle at the slightest criticism" and you fully attacked me after I disagreed in the polite way. Have a nice day :)
Now yall better not come at me for what I'm about to say, cause I know how much yall love to tussle at the slightest…
Intersting, cause it's quite easy for me to know what she's thinking and what she's feeling. I would be extremely disappointed if she stayed as cheerful and loving as in the beginning cause she went through some shit in her life. Both men that she loved betrayed her, and I am actually very glad that it takes time for her to forgive them (although she already forgave the ML, which you can clearly see in the last episode's fight scene ;)). Also, I rarely see anyone in the cdrama backing out from a revenge after the fail, it's so refreshing and a smart move to do. We rarely see smart and strong FLs in these dramas, so I am really glad that she's like that. Think about the real life... would you be cheerful and lovey-dovey after all the experiences she had?
