yeah modern romcoms have never had out of the ordinary scripts so i didnt expect one for this either. the script for this isn't that horrid, but idk for me its not that important its more about the light heartedness and relaxation. i've definitely seen way worse scripts that were borderline unwatchable apart from the main couple tho.
