Why. Females are publicly shamed for a first offense drunk driving charge.
Kim Sae Ron didn't harm anyone either. And she was considered the darling or little sister of Korea until this. The difference is still astounding. She was banned before convicted. Trial was ongoing. Again, numerous felony offenses against one severe traffic offense. The difference in treatment is awful.

Has he? Still under investigation.. He has not been banned from KBS, just suspended. Kim Sae Ron for her first DUI is BANNED! And the defense of him is over the top. Love, support, get well, etc...etc... Kim Sae Ron? Demonized to no end. The articles never stopped as she went through her ordeal. Yoo Ah In? Notice the silence right now? The difference attitude toward the two of them is astounding, to say the least.

You are right. Not comparable. What Yoo did is multiple felonies. runk driving is a severe traffic crime but not a felonious offense.

Of course I am referring to Korea and netizens in general.

Ah, but that is true, so why can't we bring it up? Why is it ok to demonize the women for smaller offenses, and show nothing but love and sympathy for the guys? I think its an honest question. A question that never gets answered.

I work with alcoholics, as I am a recovering one, over thirty years now. Most DUI in my country are not the occasional social drinker, but with people who are problem drinkers or alcoholics.

I don't know where you live, but that is not the case where I live. By the way, social drinkers don't drink and drive. Problem drinkers and alcoholics do.

The cancer turned out to be a benign tumor that was removed. No ill effects. Oh, and btw, most people with DUI are alcoholic. Getting in trouble because of alcohol is a sure sign.

This guy definitely belongs in jail. He didn't just consume drugs. He distributed them as well. He does not deserve probation.

Sounds like we are on the same page when all is said and done. We want the same thing. I am just angry at netizens for the diff way they treat them .

I don't disagree with that at all. But we can't pick and choose then. Can't love and support Yoo Ah In and at the same time demonize Kim Sae Ron. In my world, both take their punishment, be made whole, and get back to work. BOTH.

Yup, I am talking about two separate incidents. Agreed. I am talking about the love one is receiving, the one with the felony charges, and the hate the other is receiving, the one with the first time severe traffic violation. Yoo Ah In needs to get well. But he doesn't deserve the pedestal he has been put upon while the other is drummed out of the business.

I would like him to get well. And I would like him to pay for his crimes as well. But yes, in many instances, addicts are coddled. Walk the streets of Kensington and you will see that. All means of support to help them stay there in the streets, but nothing to help them get clean. I do not hate Yoo In Ah. What I hate is the difference in the way he is treated compared to the female whose offense is considered much more minor. Love him help him. Screw her, banish ner from the industry..

Studying social work, great. Keep learning. I deal with drug addicts and alcoholics everyday in ministry, and I deal with people in Kensington, Philadelphia, the largest open air drug market in the world, I think the major problem is we coddle these people to much. I want this actor to get well of course, but he has to pay the price for his crimes. The actress already has, but continues to garner far more then this guy. And what was the race card thrown in there for. This has absolutely nothing to do with that.

One has committed SEVERAL felony offenses. One has committed a serious traffic offense that injured no one. But I'm the one not making sense?

Here is my point. He has committed several felony level crimes for a long period of time. But we hear your kind of comment, showing this man nothing but love and support. That's fine. But then you take a young female actress who has committed her first ever DUI, and they have harrassed her and basically cancelled her from the industry. No love shared at all. Why? Isn't alcoholism an addiction too. She committed no felonies, just a very serious traffic offense. So, what i am hearing is, save him, cancel her. And that is just BS. If she has to pay the consequences of her actions, so doea he.

Yeah, if they were four legal drugs, no one would care and everything would be fine. Weed, coke, and black market…
The problem is that they do just that to the women over there. That is where the lack of compassion happens. But knetizens fawn all over this guy. I'm sorry, if we are gonna destroy the lives of females in the industry for rude behavior, cursing, mean texts, and 1st DUI, then this guy has got to suffer the same way.

Really? You want to equate misdemeanors, minor ticket writing crimes to felony drug purchase and possession? You even said it yourself. Legally. Cocaine, illegal. Weed, illegal, Ketamine, illegal, Propofol, illegal if used incorrectly. All illegal and felonies in Korea. I will not give him a pass. No way. We cancel and ruin the lives of teenage girls for.....cursing; but you want me to give this guy some slack? I don't think so.
