Chu Huai Ming keeps saying Qu Jian has been killed but we never ssaw the scene. Did the production mstakenly cut off the scene?

Qu Jian isn't dead yet. That explains it. I rewatched every episode but couldn't find him getting killed.

What puzzles me is why Zang Hai's sect leader wants to sacrifice a lot of people to protect Zang Hai's identity from getting exposed. After all, it is rather norm in those days for a family of an official to be killed and people would just move on.

The Marquis believes in fngshui and Zang Hai is good at it. He also knows Chu Huai Ming is useless and the latter got his post after Kuao Dai, Zang Hai's father, was killed along with his family.

How did Qu Jian die? I watched all episodes but couldn't find the scene where he was killed.

The drama is better than the novel. The ML is whitewashed.
