I don't like his wigs at all although he looks cool in them.In A Moment But Forever, he looked rather decent. In TPG, he is not bad. He needs to put on a bit of weight for the ancient Chinese wig.

I watched the drama because I thought Meng and LXY partnership could deliver a spectacular drama.

I sincerely believed the Director and the scriptwriter killed the drama, not Meng although some of her scenes are rather cheesy like when she was flirting with SZY. Yuck.

You have no taste in quality acting as your taste is rather common.

The pairing is good too although Tiffany Tang is 5 years older than LXY but th age gap is not an issue at all because ML looks older in his makeup.

This shows new generation actresses are crap when it comes to acting these days. Sun Li started acting when she was around their age.

Guess what? She never disappointed her audience. I am not even her fan at all. Evem Zanilla Zhao started badly until she caught my attention in The Journey of Flower.

Mo Mo's acting was awful in Princess Wei Young which made me drop all her dramas until I watched The Ingenious One. She took me by surprise with her character. Can't wait for Season 2,

It's the makeup. Tan Sng Yun's face is a typical Chinese girl in the ancient period.

Round and puffy face, flat/ low nose bridge and small eyes. Not sure if she has double eyelids. Hahaha. That's what I describe as typical Chinese looks. Actresses like Meng, Yang Zi and etc have similar features.

Unlike those with a bit of Caucasian looks: high nose bridge and double eyelids. Like Dilraba and many Uyghur actors. Dilraba looks odd playing a Chinese lady in ancient China. Her looksare simply too exotic to play a classic Chinese beauty.

LXY needs a novel where he is the main protaganist, not the FL.

TPOB was good at first but after that, it lost its appeal after the first five episodes.

C-costume dramas are becoming more idol dramas. Quality acting is no longer present in some big budget dramas.

Totally agree. Meng's acting isn't for everyone. She seems to be better for 2nd FL roles.

I can't think of any actresses who can do a FL roles at the moment except Zanilla Zhao, Sun Li, Yang Zi, Tan Song Yun and Mo Mo.

Agree. Almost all female actresses who paired with him except Tiffany Tang always killed his dramas or due to poor direction or poor script.

I struggled to finish TPG and when I did, it was a relief. Meng really killed this drama as well as poor directing and plots.

The drama was released in 2019. Ruby Lim has bought the film'd rights. Hahaha
