That scene on the beach? Yes, it is a masterpiece. I was unable to cry and yet, the heart was crying when I was watching him desperately and helplessly looking for her with his torchlight knowing that she had probably committed suicide.

Imagine being the detective in that moment. He 'died' on that day.

Sad story.

In the novel, Nan Ya's mother was raped by her father when the former visited Qingshui Town. She had to marry the rapist. The poor lady was very well educated while the husband was an alcoholic.

She committed suicide when the husband beat her up.

Lin Fang Lu loved her when they were little. His tender gaze at his old memory of Nan Ya in Epi 8 is so touching.

Only one criticism: we need more natural light to brighten the drama.

No wonder she killed the husband. I would have done the same because there is no medicine to cure such an evil man.

I find the age gap between the FL and ML is perfect ie. a ten-year gap.

Was Nan Ya forced into marrying Xu Yi?

The pace of the story is acceptable.

I dropped most of the short dramas excep My Uncanny Destiny with unknown actors. Except the deceased father of Ye Zhao Nan who always plays the bad guy in C-dramas. He is a good actor and recently became famous! Hahaha.

There is another one called The Grand Princess which is not bad.

No wonder I could only see six episodes on an illegal site!

This drama deserves a 1-rating.

You should try My Uncanny Destiny. Same number of episodes but the plot is better. A 8.5 rating.

DL is better playing a support role. Not a ML material.

The hairstyle does his looks odd.

He's young for his age. It's just they pick up the wrong FL for the role. The actress who plays the King's sister is a better actress.

Had she played the FL, this drama would have been better. The age gap will not be an issue.

Overall, this drama is a complete joke!

That's why it's one-rating from me.

This drama doesn't deserve a 7.9 rating. The more I watch it, the worst it gets. I'd give a one-rating.

The acting from all actors is rubbish.
