I don't know if it's only me, but he gives some resemblance of taiwanese actor Greg Hsu . Especially when he smiles. And another thing is , his character in alchemy of soul season 1 is cheerful like Greg Hsu's character in Someday or Oneday. Maybe this is why , he keeps reminding me of Greg Hsu more.
I have a tendency to watch hyped and high rated drama a little bit later. I just started watching 2 days ago and it turns out to be one of the best dramas of life. Gonna watch season 2😁. The male lead give resemblance a little bit of Greg hsu which is a plus point for me.
It was sweet and stress free indeed. But people like me who like dramas with heavy plot can lost interest in the middle too. And 33 episodes seems higher in my opinion for these types of dramas.

Btw I will give you a suggestion. Since you just finished season 1 it would be better if you watch season 2 after a while. Not just after completing season 1. You may end up not liking it if you start it just after finishing season 1 without any break
