If they really have plan for it I think it will be better if they make it historical. Cause at least the plot will be different and it will be more enjoyable for the fans of original to watch new story. Not exact same story
I agree that Kdrama quality is outstanding but Cdramas are slowly getting there especially in 2023.
Why do you want Cdramas to match with Kdramas btw ? They are different industry, different country, rules are different in their industry, and there a huge difference between domestic fans of China and Korea .
And another thing you may don't know , Chinese drama got a separate fanbase in international world. Their demands from China are different, their demands are not same as Kdrama international fans.
Since you are a Kdrama fan kindly don't expect China to fulfill your demand. China doesn't have that much time to fulfil the demands of noncdrama fans .

Well I haven't started it yet but I have watched the original. The SML like the Droppelganger of the FL. But she liked the ML. But ML doesn't like her. The ML likes the FL. Well it's a Droppelganger thing. But the SML don't have feeling for the FL. So there is only 1 love triangle
