Tbh, I didn't understand Wufeng's structure yet. This drama is based more on Gong's residence compared to Wufeng.But what you said makes sense. The drama is too complicated for the first time watch. But after so many episodes one thing I understood that all is about power struggle or superiority. Even Gong's residence is merciless.

After watching cdramas for so many years I can guess this kind of plots; if Lady Wuji is the mastermind behind Wufeng(we heard a female's voice in wufeng) so I am guessing it must be Lady Wuji,now if it is really her then it actually makes sense for her to take GZ's side cause she's been hiding as anonymous in Gong's residence for so many years she can't let her identity to reveal foolishly. That's her trick I believe.
This drama is getting more and more complicated and interesting :)

If I am not mistaken in Ep 9; during the timespan 49:57 - 50:09, the mysterious voice we heard in the background from that anonymous white attired person must be Joseph Zeng here. He's playing a guest role related to Xue division,so I guess it must be him cause I knew his voice well after MLC. But not sure till now what is his exact identity here.
Also I didn't understand that part during the beginning of Ep 10 in Madam Wuji's residence whether both Wuji and YSX identified themselves or not? Someone enlighten me please :)
