Why did Ryu sung Jun said he had nightmares from dog chasing like the kids those 5 from hope orphanage did when…
It's because his brother implanted those memories in him from childhood. He made him believe the events that never actually happened. It is similar to when you repeatedly lie to yourself about something. It impairs your memory overtime, causing confusion and will likely make you unconsciously believe those lies.
The ending after subtitles where he gave him the meat and said that he was right and they eat People at the table…
I suspected he isn't a Goto, based on the police record. Additionally, he doesn't have a birth certificate which led me into thinking he could be one of the survivors. But as to how he became such a monster, I don't know. I'll leave it at that coz I might just be overthinking. 🤣

Right? 'Yamashita' shot someone in the hotel too. This series left me with so many questions. We don't even know much about 'That man' or the villagers. I need explanations and I need it quick. LOL. Nonetheless, this was such a great series.
Daigo can be annoying at times for being impulsive. No wonder the chief kept the special task force a secret. That being said, I'm impressed by how he got information about the cave by bluffing. Or was he really? His gamble paid off but it put Yusuke's life on the line.
I have trust issues with the police too. That one officer was suspicious and was using Daigo as a bait to resolve the case.
I must say, Kiyoshi is too loyal to the Gotos for a son-in-law!😅
The child actor they casted as young Keisuke was on point. Also, I hope those young children used as offering in the scenes won't get traumatized. 😔
I was right about the traitor being Keisuke/Yusuke's mother. The laugh of liberation was so satisfying!
I wonder why she didn't just fabricate a story about how he got the bite. She could've just told him he was bitten by a dog or a bear or whatever, if she badly wants Goto's name out of her life. He has vague memory of it anyway.
Honestly, I don't see the point of risking her life to save one child but wouldn't be bothered to do something for the others. Every year a child gets killed and she tolerates that thought. Now she has to keep her mouth shut to protect her children. If she stayed in the village and became the head of the family instead, she could have made a difference. And now that someone finally wants to help them, she decided to keep hiding.
The ending wasn't bad at all but I want something better, so I'm hoping for a 2nd season!
The incubation period was around 10-13 years, but they saw early signs in a 6 year-old boy. Is it because it's…
That makes sense. Then it's very likely that the traitor and the one who saved the mask guy are the same person. Dunno why but I kept thinking that it could be Keisuke and Yusuke's mom. Compassion runs in their blood, it seems.
Oh no, I can't talk about Gin-san without being reminded of her creepy laughing face! 😨 When they killed the bear in the first episode, something about Keisuke's way of saying 'Problem solved' made me suspect either him or Iwao. The villagers seem nervous too when they heard about the dead body. So it could be anyone really. I don't trust anybody.
I have so many questions and I don't know how they'll conclude all these in just one episode. Are we not getting more?
Reading about Kuru disease, they said the average incubation time was around 10 - 13 years. But 50++ years of incubation…
The incubation period was around 10-13 years, but they saw early signs in a 6 year-old boy. Is it because it's a new variant?
The years of the escape and betrayal don't match. The mask guy said he was 'eaten' 18 years ago and Gin said someone betrayed them 16 years ago. Mask guy called the woman 'his mom' too, unless he doesn't recognize coz he was too young back then.
Good observation on Keisuke's scar. I didn't notice it until you pointed it out.
It's strange how Kanako's father kept telling her that it was stillborn when he didn't even bother to double-check it then.
Children are purposely not given birth certificates so they can be eaten. The 6-year old boy doesn't have birth certificate too. Are these connected?
The condition of the children in that cage is horrible, to say the least. I wonder if they have spare in case the one who's supposed to be eaten that year dies.
This may be a far-fetched guess but the old chief priest must've been exhibiting symptoms too which is why he had to be replaced.
I was thinking how the Goto family were able to reproduce. Who do they marry in this small village?
Two of my favorite scenes from this episode are: 1. Yusuke revealing his face to the little kid and saying he sees him as a human being. Made me emotional. 2. Daigo making Iwao's blood boil after telling him about the traitor.
Yeah. And I think that the former policeman's daughter is pregnant with Keisuke son. On episode 2 when she appears…
I felt something between Keisuke and the daughter too on that encounter. If she is indeed pregnant, Keisuke being the whistleblower would make more sense. He must have done it to save their baby from being offered.
