Officially it's FirstKhaotung. First is very particular about the fact that his name comes first and I think Khaotung just being Khaotung is cool with it😂😂.

Huh. I had assumed that Mew was the "main character" out of the main cast, based off the voiceovers and the contents from both trailers -however accurate they are- but nowadays I'm thinking that he's just the character that sets the events into motion aka makes the majority of these messy situations even messier. FirstKhao being credited first and the only two characters to boast the titular title of "only friends" on the character charts makes me think they'll be more so the "leads".

And while I completely understand your thoughts/concerns/theories around ForceBook and JoongDunk, some of which I share, you could totally have said the same thing last year and yet they'd each gotten their own series as MLs (ForceBook got two; ABAAB and OF), OS2, LOL Fest and countless irl meetup events. I know that here on mdl and other platforms with a majority of us being international fans, it could seem like those ships are sinking and not as popular or profitable anymore but that's not necessarily the case in Thailand which is their main audience. It's about the pull and popularity of the ship and not necessarily based on chemistry, criticism or quality of the series produced. For example, while I love JoongDunk's chemistry (specificallyoff-screen), it's super weird that Hidden Agenda's already gotten way more views than Be My Favorite especially considering BMF is basically over now and HA is only 5 out of 12 episodes in as of right now. The quality of story is just so different!
So for JoongDunk, I'm pretty certain that they're not going anywhere since they're fan favorites but for ForceBook I don't really follow them as much so I wouldn't know. We'll have to see how Only Friends does this week! Worse case scenario, I don't think they'll be going too too far either as gmmtv's already invested so much time and money into them. Just remember that what we often see online on these primarily english sites, doesn't necessarily always paint the full picture like we can sometimes come to believe. But who knows, we'll just have to sit tight till Oct/Nov for when gmm releases their 2024 lineup

Yes! Me too!! Like that really limits all of the series and content you get to consume when the storytelling, acting and chemistry are all lower priorities.
I could be completely wrong as my lesbian brain cannot compute it, but I'm assuming that tinges into the territory of the fetishization of BL ships? Obliviously this would be on the extremely mild side of the spectrum but I don't only watch shows with women that I think are attractive. Sure it's natural to have a preference, it helps if your pretty (girl or guy) which is especially prevalent in the entertainment industry, but that shouldn't be a determining factor? I don't watch western shows only for eye candy... I wonder if this is a BL specific thing or just a general thing that people do because I obviously can't wrap my head around it lmao

This one has been one of my top most anticipated releases of 2023 since the pilot trailer was released last year! I've gotta say that I liked the pilot trailer a bit more because the angst was more intense but I do also like how the new one is a more well rounded in all aspects. I know that it's super cringey to say, but DR is giving a mix of BBTS and NLMG's vibes and I'm SO here for it. I honestly think that specific mixture, along with the acting, will create such a beautifully crafted show. I'm so excited; and let's hope I'm right😊

I've watched both versions up until and have not noticed any differences at all so far. Except for the eng subs which were oddly so much worst on the uncut version last week.
