Most Club Friday series have 4 episodes. There are only a few that come with 5 episodes.
Aha I guess it's obvious that this'll be my first Club Friday series. I see that this was a special so I assumed one episode but now I'm happily surprised :)
These are 100% my thoughts on this series as well. Thank you for voicing them, you were really able to put it into words. It's so unfortunate that this series had to turn out this way because it, especially the pilot trailer, had so much potential! Yet what we'd gotten was dull and boring with no clear storytelling goals, nor did they have any of their characters properly fleshed out/defined. The rare sprinkling of mildly cute moments weren't enough to warrant a whole watchthru in my opinion but then again, I am someone who prefers character driven stories.
Your point about comparing 23.5 to Love Sick is exactly what I've been saying this whole time! While I haven't seen Love Sick in particular, the sentiment remains the same; most of the early BLs were crap, however, they'd paved the way for the more masterfully done (or at least more well rounded) series that we are getting today so we can appreciate them for the part in this industry's history but it doesn't mean they were by any means good. I understand that there's a learning curve for companies to find their groove in new genres but I was hoping that since BL productions have already built up their skill sets, that GLs would start out with an edge and at an advantage compared to the 2016 BLs. Technically, there is a bit of a quality improvement but to me it's essentially negligible as these comparisons are taking place about eight years apart more or less. Especially with all the resources GMMTV in particular has available today to them. While this drama's final product was very disappointing, I am still very optimistic as to GMMTV's future GL adaptations even the upcoming two series Pluto and Us. The process is processing lol so I know we'll get there eventually but I still really hope that it's sooner rather than later.
No, they haven't even started filming yet. P10L will start filming once We Are has finished their filming process. Hopefully they should be done within the next few weeks and P10L can potentially start filming in mid-June. The cast change required additional filming Qs so everything's gotten delayed.
In the pilot trailer it looked like they were hinting Papang and little Ohm lol but they could still change it
That is true but MarkOhm aren't official official yet with their own couple logo, they're just the main leads in their own show. Ik in this industry it's uncommon but there are actors that play the main leads but don't have a set partner (ie Gawin).
I do think that the age difference is quite significant especially for gmmtv's usual stuff but I was just bringing up what was provided to us through the pilot trailer. Plus both actors are over 21, and while gmmtv doesn't tend to do the larger age gaps between the acting leads, it's not uncommon. I'm just saying anything's possible but yes, your theory seems more likely.
