im pretty confident we're getting at least 2 gls!!
Well just because June's not attending doesn't mean she doesn't have a role in part 2, she might just not be attending the event itself. But what I find odd is that it seems she's on vacation and that if this were her first main lead role, why would you miss this announcement for it? I'm puzzled and the anticipation is killing me!

It seems like View will be getting a lead role in a Chao Planoy GL, assumingly Us (author liked her announcement for part 2). I'm thinking that I'd like to see Kapook paired with View. This is purely based on the fact that I think they'd look really cute together
Yeah Christine left the production for personal reasons, I think it was to focus on her mental health. There was a long period of months and then they announced the opening of the recasting call for her character Four. They did the whole process and everything trying to find a new actress, there's videos on Kantana Motion Picture's YouTube channel!
They secretly filmed everything without revealing the chosen actress and wrapped on December 24th 2023. Everything was very hush hush but then they announced that they were gonna reveal the new female lead who'll play P'Four with a surprise video. Here's the link, it's very cute: https://youtu.be/Cq66gyjaYAo?si=ouxDuTL3pzaTKATz
Christine applied to audition again and the team accepted her back! She and her would've been co-star were really close and still in touch throughout the process but Christine flew in and surprised her with the recasting news as you see in the video.
Currently they've been in post-production since they wrapped at the end of December. This is a small company and there's lots of CGI to be done for this series so we don't really know how long it'll take to be completed and released (I'm actually not too impatient for this one bc it's also my most anticipated release- now tied with Pluto after that was announced- but I'd rather then take more time with the CGI. I also think that the CGI from the pilot trailer was pretty good especially for a pilot trailer!). The production company doesn't update to often but has been posting more often on their official IG acc, Christine and Mae also had one event to promote the upcoming project so we're all predicting that it'll come out anytime within the next couple of months! It's an exciting time😊🥰
I really am liking this series much more than I expected. I read a lot of the book and did not love it, but I…
Wow it's so interesting to also hear feedback from someone who's read the book (or most of it), not just on the show but on the changes as well!! I hope that you keep up these thoughts and whatnot for future episodes 😊
Fr I don't usually notice the background music unless either it's really good and elevates an already emotion/powerful…
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who remembers those so clearly!! I feel so mean saying it but it's just- at least the BU scene- undeniably bad. I recall being so into the scene and then just dumbfounded by the soundtrack choices; I rewatched that one scene multiple times to give the story and the acting a good chance, even watched it on mute but that didn't stop it from being such a *memorable* scene.
To be fair, We Are hasn't (and hopefully won't) hit BU's level yet, and I didn't even mind the sudden electronic music during one of PhumPeem's (texting?) scenes which is the one I think you were talking about above. It was weird but it was an edgy choice so I see what they were trying to do there, but the one that really made me frown was the unnecessary generic iMovie music during one of the QToey bar scene. Because why?? They didn't need loud music, there was dialogue lmao.
I was SCREAMING- it completely took me off guard. I wasn't expecting it because the tempo was slightly different until he started with the first few lyrics and then I lost it and was overwhelmed with MSP nostalgia. Such a fun touch!
one thing I can't resist to call out is the 'background music' like it's just not hitting 😭 with random a$s…
Fr I don't usually notice the background music unless either it's really good and elevates an already emotion/powerful scene, or if it's just so bad that it distracts from the scenes. Unfortunately, episode 3 had the latter, which is something that I've noticed that Studio Wabi Sabi seems kind of consistent about; appallingly bad background music that takes you out of the scene.
I remember in BU, Prem had an intense crying scene and instead of playing something emotional or for buildup, they played the theme song and then an unbeat springtime tune?? All throughout the span of that one (albeit it was a long-ish scene). I felt so bad for Prem because he was sobbing and acting, doing his job but I couldn't take his scene seriously. And this is coming from someone who didn't mind or really notice the Christmas music in the background of that LITA NC scene... I didn't even recall it until I saw someone tweet about it😆😭😭
Wait I just realized that Dokrak and Pam will be the side couple in My Marvellous Dream Is You... all these adaptations of the same characters, by different production companies and actors is gonna get confusing lol
