The show didn't tell the what career path ming sheng has taken, it's all focused on the FL life. Obviously the series told the story of her, this is one of missing plot hole in the end. They also ML exposure is very limited, he has been missing some of scenes and writer wrote the character only support the FL and her happiness. I think ML needs a true identity rather than a sacrificed Goat for a FL.
