GGS 2 can consider a stand alone story and the name of the drama doesn't give the justification of GGS 1. The characters from the first season changed and their traits main big difference.
They can easily continue based CTF on the second season, it ruined because of incompetence of writer and director. If they want to experiment they can create another drama instead of killing main source story.
This drama more or like parallel universe story. The same timeline but, incidents and story happens in the different universe and disparate premises.

If Hae In from poor family asked Hyn Woo divorce because of mistreatment, fall out of love...etc., from chaebol family of ML , people will sympathise with her and support Hae In. Even, writer will write a crappy Green flag and flat SML character for her.

Hae In gone for idiot way, that is completely different from her character. She need excute her plan require more vigilant than close ties with enemy. Especially, Eun Seong like character, her actions doesn't convinced him;he will ruthlessly destroy her family and what she cherishes in her life all obliterate in a split second.

Hae In mom need a reality check after all gone, she deliberately ignoring Hae In and pampering her son.
Eun Seong obsessions converted into beast mode, he more obsessed than now, and after knew Hae In health condition.
Mainly, Hae In needs to give respect Hyun Woo, the three years of marriage and miscarriage of their first child also dwindled the relationship. Moreover, 1 to 2 years the marriage between them slowly died.
