yeah that'smy point too that actors should be mature to play the tricky part bcz in last the theme is based on revenge a dark theme and both leads r brainy and into deep tricks and manipulation which is beyond their age & looks more mature than their peers and the scheming personality they carry are beyond their age so y is ppl showing contempt against mature actors or actress at the end of the day actors should be judged by their acting skills not by their age & appearance

But teenagers won't be able to pull off shen miao's character she just looked young in novel u must know that if u have read the novel her temperament her aura & her behavior everything was as empress shen's & it's mention in novel many times too by shen miao herself And by other characters like her family too that she behaved & looked like much more older than her age

I think xie Jing xing character is equally complex character like shen miao & the play-boy but seriously committed to one person vibes I only get it from Xu Kai he have plenty of works of being a scroundel and a cold bloodthirsty character I think he can pull it off pretty easily and for female lead I recommend seven tang yeah her age is a bit older but remember shen miao is not some young maiden in bud she is ruthless empress shen but have features of young child which seven tang have she have a face of young child I think her features r definitely on par with shen miao's description in novel & about her acting I think nobody have any doubt about it ri8 afteraall she is a versatile actor!or zhao liying the actress which played shen shen role in boss & me she is also a versatile actress and in line with mc in novel's dslescription
