I hope she doesn't read comments on mdl or insta, people are really terrible. Going out of their way to personally…
She needs to read these comments and know her acting is shit so that she can improve. even the second leads act much much better than her. what is she doing?!!
I was so scared that he will die, but....................... Thankfully it's the happiest ending I could expect. Btw Zeyu wins the title of the most supportive 2nd lead. the funny thing is I don't even feel bad for him, because he himself does not feel bad. man is sitting and seeing his crush kiss her lover so closely that even the audience is shook🤣🤣🤣
this drama was set in ancient republican era. at those times, it was pretty normal
it was. as long as they are not blood related, everything is fine. and he never treated her like a daughter though, they were like siblings. in my cdramas, there is romance between adopted siblings.

I disagree There is always 1 platonic guy friend I felt that he challenged ML to do better and resolve his Sh*t......In…
I think u misunderstood something. Let me go ahead and reexplain. I wanted Luo Tian as a platonic friend. they could have shown him just as a teacher and friend. I feel adding that romantic aspect was unnecessary. they could have shown him acting as Qui Ying's one-sided lover to make Xiang Kong understand the situation, Why to unnecessarily show someone's heart being broken?
In the novel, Zhu Yan was crazily in love with Yuan, but Yuan had no romantic feelings for her till the last bcauz…
From The Wolf or The Longest promise to Untamed or Word of honour, why the hell do they spend so much time on court politics? That Empress from Green Clan and Bai Xue Lu part was not even there in the novel and so much time had been given to Bai Xue Lu and then again her growing feelings or past, just why? They could have given the time to Shi Ying and Yan or to Yuan and Yan. Any one of them and I won't object, but why to them? The actors did such a great job but the scriptwriter sucks.

I really (delusionally) wish the novel writer did not see this drama. They changed so much that only few things are similar. The character, the plotline, the sequence have changed so much-- I don't hate the drama. I really love Xiao Zhan and Alen Fang. I loved Shi Ying, Zhu Yan and Yuan's acting. But the satisfaction the novel gave, the drama did not give. They did Yuan dirty. The role of Yuan is much more explained in the drama, which would have actually made it much more understandable why Yan er falls for Yuan, but they made it vice-versa. And Yuan falling for Yan er did not even make sense bcauz it's impossible for a shark to fall in love second time, moreover when they showed Yan isn't her great-great-grandmother's reincarnation. And again they added that same childhood love track like so many other cdramas and also removed the scenes of Yan and Shi Ying being blissfully in love. The novel had much more romance and mature love scenes of them. Here it showed Yan's love for her master and then their romance ended too soon too. Most importantly, they added so much court politics which I hated so much.

They even made the female character more annoying. like those scenes in the beginning of burning her best friend's mother's dress, then her being so silly and childish with Shi Ying. In the novel, her actions are kind of justified. Both her and Shi Ying's characters were flawed but that's how humans are. Shi Ying was much more egoistic there, but while trying to whitewash his character in the drama, Zhu Yan looked like a fool. Xiao Zhan acted those layers of his character very accurately and we could feel his emotions through his eyes, but the writers right Ren Min bad and some toxic people did it worse. The biggest difference was that in the novel, Shi Ying started teaching Zhu Yan when she was 8 and then made her leave when she turned 13. They met again after she was 18. But in the drama, it was completely different. They even added a childhood love arc and years of Zhu yan's dedication to Crown Prince. The things which Zhu Yan was doing when she first met Shi Ying was originally actions of a 8 years old girl, and there was no such dance. The Red King had secretly asked Shi Ying to take Zhu Yan as a disciple and she was just an informal disciple, no such competition had taken place. That cunning White Princess, who wanted to marry Shiying and become the Empress- she had an almost negligible role.
Not being delulu but I think I'm the only one hope that Eun Ho's GF talk about was not SeGyeong daughter but someone…
that's what I thought. I really don't want any one of the brothers to be hurt. Their relationship is so loving and understanding and both of them are so precious. I don't want them to be in a tiff bcauz of a girl
In my humble opinion, this drama is bad. I know is adapted from a novel, but for me, the story should have been…
In the novel, Zhu Yan was crazily in love with Yuan, but Yuan had no romantic feelings for her till the last bcauz he was still stuck with his first love and few scenes before his death, he revealed why he can't love her to make her realise why their love is impossible. But the novel actually has more scenes of Yan's longing for Yuan in Book 1 than the drama. Yan fell for Shi Ying only after his death, like after he confessed his love to her while dying, after that-, in book 2. In the drama, they changed it so much- adding that grandmother's failure of reincarnation, some part of her being in Yan and then Yuan falling for Yan. Not to forget abt Yuan's revival from death only to get possessed by the devil, the script makers seriously did not have to do these.
Finally someone who agrees that FL was NOT at fault in this drama. I stopped reading comments in this section…
Chinese beauty standards are too high and nepotism is nothing uncommon in this industry. so there is no need to blame her. I have seen her previous works too, she isn't that bad. Her character was flawed from the very beginning, if u had read the novel, u could have understood. The drama writers have changed a lot from the novel, I have no idea why they did not change her character. So no matter which actress they casted, the character was bound to be hated

U shouldn't have said "That's the price to pay for staring with a traffic actor with toxic fandoms on his back." It sounds as if u r blaming Xiao Zhan. and abt those toxic fandom, XZ himself has suffered the most for those toxic people, not to forget abt the A3 scandal where he himself might not have any idea abt that fanfic yet he took the blame and was banned for a year. XZ is just working hard to win people's hearts with his talent and he was very good to Ren Min too from what I saw in the BTS.
