not to compare. but i haven't felt this way since To My Star(2). complicated/not so perfect main character meeting someone exceptionally but still humanly understanding. everything felt so raw and plausible. chemistry was more than great. actors did such an amazing job making it feel very domestic all the time so effortlessly. I could be wrong but nothing seemed to be overdramatized for the sake of plot or effect. Some people might not understand why he left/disappeared for 12 years but that really is how some people think. Flight instead of fight. It is selfish but it's also survival.
being so tired of bl plots, i was glad we didnt go to the beach. I was pleasantly surprised Juyeong stayed with the dad regardless of what he has done. It may sound complicated/unreasonable to some people but family really is everything to some people and i like to think Juyeong shares that same morals. People do bad things, doesnt necessarily mean theyre bad people. Some people deserve second, third, and so forth chances.
i enjoyed that not everything was rainbows and unicorn with the ending. him suffering the consequences makes it real.
I also have to give Jang Yeon Woo props for his performance in that car scene. I really felt the acceptance that even though he was too late to be in his life, at least he gets to be happy even without him. It was closure.
everything felt well thought out, not everything was spoonfed, we had to fill in between the lines but nothing was left unanswered. It could come across as rushed but i think it was perfect. What was left were necessary. I was hooked every episode and that is thanks to the lack of scenes that are put in "just because"
How much screentime do the BL couples have? I'm not about to watch this if they only have small amount of screentime…
it was so balanced that I thoroughly and genuinely enjoyed everyone including the hets. without trying to spoil anything, you would be satisfied with the amount of BL in this.
