Based on ep 22 n 23 preview, they still aren’t together. And honestly i don’t mind. I like the slow burn and pace. Initially, I thought it will drag a lot, but I just binged these last 10 eps and I really enjoyed watching it. They were soothing and quite funny at the same time. I hope it continues like this without dragging on (and no last min coming together), and we get to see a good amount of their dating time.
please recommend a drama where he's a real person and not ai face, and where he has good screen time. i am really impressed after watching POJ and LOTFG.
Forget about it for a few days because of 1 ep/day schedule, but I finally completed it. I waited so long for the political arc, but it was weak. The last 10 or so eps were rather disappointing compared to the first 20 eps. They really butchered the female lead's growth; for me, her development as a general felt forced, rushed and uneven, and the writer, in the pursuit of showing her as a powerful general, left out the logical aspects. Also, I knew we wouldn't get much of the male lead's backstory, but I still wanted it. Lastly, I was disappointed that they didn't show the princess and Gongsun at the end. I was quite invested in their story.
Now, the positive part is, of course, the acting, cinematography, directing, beautiful costumes, and honestly, the cast was so beautiful, from the leads to the guest roles. I really, really liked the Lin'an arc, and the parallel universe part in the last episode truly made me happy. If nothing had happened, we would have seen a very different ending for QianQian and QiMin. I hope they are cast again.
Same here. I just posted about her knocking out commander LI is also not something she could get away easily.…
couldn't have said it better. based on the female general drama's that i have watched in the past few months, i really liked the growth and story of leads in Fated Hearts.
Agreed. The ML feels kinda 2D at this point. Limited character development, barely any action scenes for a supposedly…
Exactly, considering that it was the time when women couldn't have anything in their name. To inherit her father's house, she had to marry a live-in husband. Contrary to this, she is treated so well in the military, it seems like men in the military are quite open-minded lol.
There are only 7 eps left, and there’s still so much to unfold. Xie Zheng is portrayed as a Marquis and a war legend, and I really wanted more of his backstory, esp his journey to becoming a ruthless Marquis at such a young age. However, it seems we won’t be getting that. Up until ep 32, he has very few fighting scenes and we don't see much of his ruthless side. The writer has turned him into the "puppy" of the fl.
Don’t get me wrong; I enjoy female centric dramas, but in this case, as with many others, the logic just isn’t there. The fl is a butcher with no prior training or experience in fighting, let alone in warfare. Yet, she suddenly can kill a highly skilled general and Prince Changxin with no proper training. Is that logical? Then, she becomes a military commander/general leading 1000s of soldiers without any prior knowledge of how to lead.
While her fighting scenes are beautifully executed, I can't help but reason that maybe she can fight like this because her father trained her well. Though we don’t see her childhood, we only know she learned just one fighting skill from him. Alternatively, perhaps she is a once-in-a-lifetime prodigy. Still, it’s hard to believe she can fight against people who have trained their entire lives.
Moreover, her actions often appear reckless, yet they somehow turn out well. For example, when she takes Heir Sui hostage for food, she is not punished for this. Is this really a military camp? Isn’t the ml supposed to be a ruthless and military law abiding Marquis? He becomes soft because she is the person he loves?! There seems to be no accountability, and because of this, she won’t be able to learn and grow.
I really wanted to see her grow from a commoner to a general, but this growth seems forced and illogical. The writer could have done a better job. If you shut your brain off while watching these last few episodes, it appears fine and enjoyable. However, analyzing it logically makes you question everything and takes away the fun.
Honestly, in many female centric dramas, the ml's story is often sidelined, and I know we won’t get much of his backstory. However, I didn't expect the writers to undermine the growth of the fl as well. :(
QiMin is literally a madman. He is suspicious by past experience, vengeful, and possessive. He loves her (in his…
agree. earlier, i thought maybe he would have a different ending and would change, but it doesn't seem like that now. the only thing i want is QianQian to be happy and free, whether he lives or dies.
Started watching this yesterday, and even before that, I was spoiled about QiMin and QianQian's dynamics. Before watching, I was aware of their interaction through all the spoiler videos. In the initial episodes, like 11 to 13, the tension in their interaction was very engaging, and I couldn’t wait to see how their relationship unfolds. But after knowing how he treats her later when he brings her to his home, watching those scenes (ep11-13) now properly makes me feel sick. I didn’t feel tension; instead, I felt uncomfortable, although I am looking forward to their arc. However, I really want him to die. Since I am currently on episode 14 and based on the spoiler videos I have watched, I can’t seem to understand. Does he like her, or is he obsessed with her, or does he want to control her? At some points, it seems like he has a little feeling for her, but at other times, it’s like he’s a mad psychopath who just wants to inflict trauma on her.
so much blood and crying in ep 36, and i didn't felt anything, but when MQY cried in ep 37 i couldn't help but…
also, i was waiting for the fighting scenes between black man and MQY, CZ. but it was disappointing. the writer made them very weak. it somehow took away the fun. also, liked MQY character development after a year of separation, he became less possessive and more understanding of her.
so much blood and crying in ep 36, and i didn't felt anything, but when MQY cried in ep 37 i couldn't help but cry with him and zhaozhao. also, ending felt a bit weak considering their forbidden love. but still a decent watch.
haven't started it, but i am really excited for Qi Min and Qian arc as much as the leads, based on the videos that keep coming up on my feed. just few more days and i'll watch!!!
There's already so much push and pull in their relationship, which is still manageable considering their differing opinions. But I am honestly exhausted and at this point not even interested in knowing who the man in black is. There has been a year of separation and a time skip, and MQY has no idea about him yet. She is back from her one-year punishment, and now suddenly there is a clue about him and he is reappearing, wtf. Also, we're only getting one episode today:(((
