Started Heartwarming, Ended Heavy
The first 20 episodes were an absolute delight, genuinely funny, comforting, and heartwarming. I was laughing through most of them! The comedy landed well, and the family dynamics were such a joy to watch. The brother and father were a bit dumb and annoying at times, but were still bearable and added to the humor. I especially loved how the male lead slowly opened up to the family - it felt natural, sincere, and very comforting to see him find warmth again. The little girl was such a bright spot too; her presence added so much softness and innocence.Overall, early episodes had that perfect balance of humor and warmth — the kind of light, cozy vibe that makes you want to keep watching. I really thought the series would maintain that tone till the end.
But just like many other dramas that lose their spark in the second half, this one wasn’t an exception. After episode 20, the tone became flat and one-note. The female lead spent almost ten episodes either crying or feeling sad. I understood why, but it eventually got too heavy. The show that began as fun and heartwarming turned into something overly sad and emotionally draining.
Then came the big revelation that he’s not actually her ancestor, and it honestly felt rushed, as if even the writer was tired of dragging that plot. My reaction was basically, “Wait, what? That’s it? And this late?” They stretched the conflict for almost ten episodes only to reveal it like it was nothing.
And poor Lin Yan. I genuinely think the writer did him dirty. He lived his whole life waiting for her. First, he lost his parents, then his wife and her family. When he finally let go of his revenge and started to really live, he lost everything again and died longing for her. Like, how can they do this to him? Yes, they meet again in the modern world, but it came after years of pain and loneliness. That’s not a happy ending for me - it’s bittersweet at best. It really felt like the writer just wanted to stretch the emotional pain, both in the middle episodes and in the ending, so that when they finally got together, viewers would feel relief and forget how dragged it was.
The whole family’s development also lost its impact when they returned and forgot everything. Sure, they became better people, but what was the point of showing such a meaningful journey if they don’t even remember it? It made the time-travel aspect feel a little pointless.
In the end, the drama leaned too much on sadness and unnecessary dragging. It could have been a truly comforting, emotional story if the pacing and tone had been better balanced. Still, I can’t deny how much I loved the first 20 episodes, the laughter, the warmth, and the feeling of comfort they gave me.... and of course, Lin Yan’s puppy eyes that somehow carried me through the slower parts.

A must must watch!!!
I would just say give it to go and you won’t regret. It’s the BEST SHOW with each and every episode being so entertaining. The script writing is so good. There is not even a single episode where I felt it’s getting boring or it’s being dragged. IT’S ENTERTAINING AND IT’S THE BEST.This show has been a 10/10 since the first episode released.
Ps- while watching the first few episodes, you will feel some hared or you won’t like FL. But DON’T DROP it. There will be a character development of her. Something happened with her father and that’s why she can’t trust her colleague that much, but later on she will trust him and y’all will literally like their chemistry and interactions.

A Drama of Love, Schemes, and Lost Potential
*The review contains general thoughts on character relationships but no major plot spoilers*Perfect Match had an interesting premise, and while I did enjoy watching it as it aired, I can’t help but feel a bit of bittersweetness about it. Maybe my expectations were too high, or maybe it just didn’t fully deliver on its potential.
The Five Sisters’ Marriages -
Each sister had a different love story; while some were enjoyable, others felt lacking or frustrating.
- First Sister – Their relationship had mutual respect, which I liked, but I don’t have strong feelings about them. It got dragged toward the end, but overall, it wasn’t bad.
- Second Sister – I barely have an opinion on this couple. Their relationship felt more like a subplot supporting the third sister's story. However, the small interactions that were shown were nice.
- Third Sister – Too much scheming for my taste. The male lead fell in love at first sight, but I never really understood when she fell for him—it felt too sudden. Their egos clashed too much, making their relationship feel more about winning than loving.
- Fourth Sister – Easily my favourite. The pacing was great; their love felt real and gradual rather than just being a given. There was no unnecessary scheming, just genuine affection. In many dramas, the falling-in-love process is rushed, but this one took its time, which made it feel more romantic.
- Fifth Sister – I usually love an enemies-to-lovers trope, but this one felt like a lost opportunity. The story started well but lost its way. Her character was too violent, and even though it was played off as comedy, violence is still violence. The male lead wasn’t perfect either, but their relationship lacked true romantic moments—it was mostly fights and separation.
The Five Sisters & Their Mother -
The first three sisters relied too much on scheming. For example, instead of encouraging the fourth sister to talk things out with her husband, they planned an elaborate divorce strategy. I understand that in an ancient male-dominated society, they had to be tough to survive. But personally, I prefer relationships built on mutual respect and communication.
As for their mother, I wasn’t sure what the writers were trying to portray. She's a strong woman who raised and educated five daughters in a world that was unfair to women. But her character felt a bit too unruly and silly at times. I’ve seen the actress in other dramas and liked her, but her performance here didn’t quite work for me.
Final Thoughts -
The drama had its moments. The small interactions between the brothers-in-law were sweet, and I wish we had seen more of them. While I did enjoy watching it, I found myself fast-forwarding through some parts. In the end, I think the lingering bittersweet feeling comes from the fact that I had high hopes, but it just didn’t fully meet them.
It was a good watch, but not a great one.

A lot going on, monsters and soldiers, a nice watch
If I compare S1 to S2, then I found S1 to be more interesting. But if I solely talk about S2 then there was a lot going on. Since in S2, they have come out from the apartment to the outside world, of course, there has to be some more characters to have the story going on and to make it interesting, but somehow it felt like that there were too many characters and it was difficult to grasp upon each character story. For instance, you weren’t able to understand their perspective or their point of view or what happened in the past to them more clearly, than I was able to understand of S1 cast cause there story has already been developed. This season was more focused upon how soldiers are trying to fight and save people. A lot of screen time was given to soldiers and showcased how much they’re sacrificing just to save people. It also showed that how most of the people just thought about themselves and not about those soldiers who are risking their life for the people.
There are new kinds of monster in this season and some of them felt like they were robots, which I found a bit strange. It also showed how the monsters are afraid of humans. As humans can kill them any time and how they wanted to save themselves as well as the other monsters and that’s why they want to kill humans.
There were some part which I have found a little bit boring (maybe because I wanted to see song kang lol) but still it was a nice watch.
Since I am a die hard fan of song kang I didn’t like the fact that being the ML, he was given a very less screen time and dialogues and also the last episode last seen where eun yu and hyun su were talking and how their was a tension between them and then suddenly the scene got cut off and I felt so bad.(crying)
Music – S1 had some awesome songs and they are a part of my playlist even today. But I didn’t like the fact that they didn’t put any kind of music in S2 because in S1 there were a lot of comments upon how the songs are not matching with the scenes. So maybe that’s why the director doesn’t put any song in this season.
But overall I liked it. It was different from S1 and it focused upon some other things. They were few emotional scenes as well and I would recommend people to watch it.
Now about the fact that would I re watch it or not? Yes, I would re-watch it when the S3 will be coming lol.
WAITING FOR S3!!!!!

A Romance That Stole My Heart
The finest and best romantic xianxia drama I have watched. I never had a favourite in this genre, but now I do, and it’s definitely this drama.I went in with zero expectations, and just a few minutes into the first episode, I was completely sold. Admittedly, the pacing was sometimes irregular, and the story itself isn’t particularly unique or different. But the romance and chemistry between the leads absolutely stole the show for me.
What made it so memorable was how the romance unfolded. It was fast-paced, direct, and deeply expressive. The leads weren’t hesitant to show their feelings for one another, and their relationship made me fall in love with the very idea of falling in love. They built their bond on trust and clear communication, which felt refreshing to watch. The skinship between them was natural, the drama fed us generously with many sweet kisses, and the ending, as expected, was well executed and satisfying.
As for the actors, I had seen ml before, but this drama made me a true fan. His acting has improved remarkably, and his micro-expressions were so captivating that it made me rewatch many scenes. His eyes conveyed anger, hatred, and love with striking clarity. It was my first time watching fl, and she did quite well too. Her comedic timing was spot on.
One aspect I genuinely loved was how fl never tried to change ml. Instead, she accepted him as he was, understood his pain and the reasons behind his behavior. She didn’t just sympathize with him—she truly empathized. This acceptance, combined with the trust and communication between them, gave their romance greater depth and meaning.

WORTH WATCHING AND DOESN’T DEAL WITH TOXICITY
I don’t understand why this drama has so many bad reviews. But personally its a best drama. I have watched it quite a time and can relate with it. It’s a realistic drama and talks about the relationship of 20s i.e. of this generation. After going through something similar, I can totally relate with this drama. This drama is a rollercoaster ride of emotion. You can feel different emotions, the anxiety, happiness, sadness, etc. This drama tells about how people in current times are unsure as well as insecure about getting into a relationship as well as to talk about their past, and to be open about themselves to someone else. Basically the fear of getting close and just wanting to have a casual relationship with someone else. Many are saying it’s a toxic drama but personally I believe it’s not because both the ML and FL knew what they want from each other. They weren’t able to express their feelings towards each other because of the insecurity about getting into it relationship and because of there past. (Honestly they both knew that they both like each other)
If I talk about the ML, if you try to watch this drama from the viewpoint of the ML you can totally relate towards him. He has a different way of expressing his love and care towards the FL which can be clearly seen.
I think the term ‘toxic relationship’ that is being used with this drama is absolutely incorrect. It’s not at all toxic, it just talks about the insecurity as well as the confusion about being with someone.
The chemistry between both the leads were amazing. They truly looked good together. You can clearly sense the sexual tension between them from the screen. Their chemistry was fabulous, and I find myself smiling at the screen, as well as repeating few scenes quite a time. The OST in this drama are amazing and fabulous. I just want to listen to them on repeat.
Lastly, I would say it’s worth watching, if you try to watch with an open mind and try to understand the viewpoint of different characters.

REFRESHING DRAMA
It's the first time I have watched a drama related to medicine and I surely loved it. There would be many reviews which will be stating that it's very slow and all, yaa it is correct but I loved it. The initial episodes were enjoyable, but the pace of the drama slowed down a bit. However, it gradually picked up and became more captivating again. I liked the relationship between TT and this master aka RXZ. It showed the pure relationship between a teacher and a student. The chemistry of TT and RTZ is so good. They had pure and innocent love, and I loved watching them. Then the chemistry of both the couples aka RTZ parents is lovely. This drama is so pure.Wished we had more RTZ and TT moments. They were so lovely together. I would love it if Zhao Lu Si and Luo Yi Zhou could collaborate once again. This pair looks fresh and they have very sweet chemistry with each other.
Lastly, I would say it's a very refreshing drama and I loved enjoying it so much. The entirety of this drama was flawless.

Insightful and a beautiful drama
It was the best decision to start watching this drama. It taught me that whatever you are doing, you should give your all. Even if you will fail, you will still be happy with yourself that you worked hard and you gave your 100%. I will highly recommend to watch this drama. The chemistry between the ML and the FL was great. Even when they were bickering with each other, it felt so cute.
The last episode was tremendous. The fight was great and the drama ended the right way it should be. And how they squeezed the leads love story into the last three minutes of the drama was amazing, somehow it passed the muster.
At last, highly satisfied with this drama, it was a worth watch and maybe someday I’ll watch it again to gain strength when I’m feeling down haha.
