After knowing most of the things about ML past. Basically, his back story. I just think that his grandmother‘s character is kind of flawed and dishonest. ML is a definition of self achievement, from rags to riches. She’s always about family, even she made her hotel staff, her family, but what about ML? I feel that it was totally her biased opinion and she just like FL more than the ML. That’s why she gave the hotel to her as, well as she knew that FL will continue her legacy of showcasing hotel as an epitome of familiness.

however, I feel happy for ML. He has finally found his home and where his heart belongs to. Honestly, he seems more like a house husband typa person and not a business man lol. And now I am really loving mother. She finally has a character development guys. I’m very happy. Everything is going perfectly with this series.

Lastly, xu kai is so cute. I am literally falling for him. His acting is so good, especially when he is acting cute and when he makes those facial expressions.

I am loving it. The chemistry between the leads is great. The supporting actors are also good. However, the Mom has been a bit annoying, but in today’s episode, that is 30, we can see a lot of character development in her. I think it’s worth watching.though at starting, just like everyone, felt annoyed and wanted to drop this drama because of Mom, but I think it’s worth the time cause we can clearly see some character development in her and other than that it’s awesome. It’s wonderful.

But then again, it’s the parents fault that they didn’t tell their children the struggle they have been, and then later on when the children grow up, they want them to understand their parents, to respect them, to think that all they do is for their own good. If from the starting itself, bit by bit, tell your children that you have been through this, you have been through that they will try to understand you more deeply, and you will have a more strong connection with them. in the last episode, her mother told fl that how her grandpa treated her if she would have told her this already, then fl would try to understand that why she is so protective towards her.
Parents just want their children to understand them, but they don’t want to give them a reason.

But MCH is 30 years old. She is an adult, and she also needs some personal time, but her mother invades her privacy every time. personally, I don’t think that MCH said anything wrong to her mother. Parents are not always right and sometime they should learn from their children and try to accept their mistake and say sorry. Even if they try to do things with good intentions, but it leads to bad outcomes.

One of the living example is me. my parents do things with good intentions for me, but they don’t try to think from my perspective. Now it has affected me to the point that I have frequent panic attacks and have been not so good mentally since past few years.

The bus scene, watermelon and fishing scene were so cute, especially xu kai is so cute. The way he looks at mai with love and affection in his eyes.
I know it’s female centric and a slice of life drama, but I would love to watch a drama which solely showcases ML and FL like they should be the centrepoint.

i agree with you. In the letter to ml, Grandma states that she is not biased but in reality, she is and no one can deny that. ml has been left alone almost all his life, if grandma loved him or cared for him then she could have brought him to China with her after his mother died. but she didn't.

she states that ml is driven by profits, and money. come on who isn't? Everyone has to survive in this world. ml has seen poverty during his childhood days and he worked hard not to have that life.
it's the grandma who helps fl both financially and emotionally during her tough times, that's why she can play all being righteous. ml had no one so he will try to do anything to survive.

also, regarding the inheritance, the house belongs to Grandma's husband (maybe she got it after the divorce settlement). so in reality it belongs to ml only. in the end, if we see from a broader view, he doesn't get anything. Everything goes to fl and her family.

and now Grandma wants fl to run the hotel cause she never got a chance to prove herself. it's so absurd. She isn't rich,. As stated by ml, the hotel is in deficit. if she (fl) wants the hotel to have profit then she will by all means try to earn profit. now where does all the Grandma's teaching go?

yes, for instance, the marriage. fl father told her that her mother does things with "good intentions" but the outcomes turn bad. I can't see good intentions here. also, when the guys came to renovate the home, she shouted at them and talked harshly to them and later fl father didn't tell her to correct her. As I have already stated, it's more like they don't want to talk to her about these things because she will bicker, they will fight and all. it indirectly implies they don't want to be responsible.
and I can't say anything about her brother, they, especially mother had sidelined him so much.
