and instead of defending himself or prove his innocence at his press conference, he spent all 40 minutes repeatedly reminding everyone that he's a star, repeatedly referring to saeron as "the deceased" as if he never knew her, faked crying as if the presscon was one of his drama takes, and then announced a 12bil won lawsuit against her family. this defamation suit was not filed in order to clear his name — for as we all know by now, in south korea, a defamation suit can be filed even if the claims are true. it's a suit that is aimed at protecting the reputation of the person being "defamed". he could claim compensation if the court finds that his reputation was significantly harmed and the scandal caused him great distressed—which is ksh's only course of legal reprisal. and of course, if public outrage is massive enough, then his suit would fail. so what say you, are you angry enough?

i'm not sure why ksh thinks it would do him any favours by trying to silence everyone globally with such an abusive and draconian defamation law that so blatantly infringes upon the freedom of speech, but it was certainly good for memes and a couple of chuckles.
