Title Moving
to be honest everything looks so cheap. Koreans normally fail when they try to emulate western shows.
The difference here is this is a Disney+ drama. Fail or not we shall see. But the story is quite different from the typical Kdrama or kcomic. I hope for this one to succeed so it can lead to more diverse Asian project offered
Critiquing the story w/in reasons is fine because it’s your own view but straight out calling out fans of AOS2 w/ names & categorizing them as 13y/o like what user @Salsamia is doing below is straight up trying to degrade us fans in general. Granted that user is pitiful because clearly she pops here often criticizing pt2 just because their bias is no longer the leading actress. The reason she gave below are evident as point out below.

Know the differences between critiquing and criticizing before you defend someone and trying to use opinions as an excuse.

You summed it up perfectly and I agree with you.As you can see, even the comments for Part 2 are on a level of…
That is the problem w/ you and @Salsamia! Attacking AOS2 w/ her subjective reasoning is one thing but attaching us fans right away as 13y/o and calling us out for not accepting her bias opinions… I don’t know …perhaps next time try not to attack us fans.

Yeah you must be 60 then if you don't like this go to your fav part I have been tired of seeing people coming…
Agreed, @Salsamia literally listed out subjective/pointless negatives but also attack us fans by calling us 13y/o. 🤣 her true color is evident.

Why r u defending someone who came onto AOS2, where clearly there r many fans who loved this Pt2, and @Salsamia literally looking for issues & call us fans as 13yr/old? Entitled to opinions? Why attack us fans? The amount of lists that person made is pure hatred. AOS is not w/out it’s negative either. Both have its own +/-.

And here is why1- messy and incoherent plot2- low budget3- rookie acting4- drastic character changes especially…
You clearly have a bias because your reasons r nothing but contradicting:
1- messy and incoherent plot- -same came be said to AOS1, both had its +/-
2- low budget - - really? AOS2’s budget is still better than all other costume recent Kdramas. Even if it’s lower in budget, it’s only to make up for The cost of AOS1.
3- rookie acting- this is clearly direct at GYJ as she is the only change in cast member. Say what you want, but girl can clearly act
4- drastic character changes especially fl - - what did u expect when the story clearly stated that leading lady went memoryless
5- lots of fanservice to cover the bad show- - this drama did better over in rating in Korea & continues to increase weekly . AOS 1 did better on Netflix while struggles in KoreanTV. Bad show? This clearly not your taste only. So to say fanservice to cover for bad show? You know what would be consider a fan service? Fans service would be not to upset fandom of an established actress like JSM( who fan’s already are used to her as leading lady) &make her end game w/ LJW together. Clearly, the producing team don’t care about fans service & would rather continue on their own version of the story they want to tell.
6- no equal powers, only UK is super powerful in a boring edgy way - -Boring but Clearly make sense, there’s only one king of star afterall & now he possess the icestone (something even the Master SG did not have).

Honestly, I feel like this season wasn't really necessary. I think they could have made some smarter decisions…
I have my own complains too, but not to the point of it wasn’t necessary. AOS1 started strong & lost ground towards the later half. I have a love/hate relationship w/ both AOS1 &2 but the overall feeling of watching this drama was more positive because I was heavily invested.

I get the feeling they had a different story in mind before Jung So-Min announced she wasn't coming back. I think…
Just so you are aware, JSM took over for another original actress (who drop out after 1mnth of filming). Whatever she signed up for, it’s clear the producers knew & her contract was only for1. Since premiere of the press conference of part1, they already announced pt2 has been in the work. For the TV station/Netflix to approve for extension & pay the studio, it would have been approve way ahead since storyline & planning would have to be submitted. This drama is one of the biggest budget for Kdrama, it’s not easy as it states to just make changes.
I do agree that pt1 dragged too long despite having the stronger written story arch & would have been better if it was cut to add more eps to part2.

Title Death's Game
Just curious but what would generally be the difference between Netflix original k-series and traditional k-series?
If it’s a full Netflix drama (think SweetHome, Glory, SquidGame), Netflix give them the free range to go beyond what limited on live TV. They go darker and don’t need to go by rules set by public/cable TV. Less reliance on TV ads w/in the show (think Goblin overusing Subway ads).

If it’s a KoreanStation(TVN, JTV, MBC, ect) & NetFlix joint, they still have to follow local regulations & schedule airing.

Title Death's Game
So far, the supposed/assume character for GYJ is not really significant. The story is heavily on Death and the leading man. I don’t necessarily think it’s a character of an impact for GYJ, unless changes are made. I’ll follow up later & see if my mind has changed after reading further.

Ngl it needs to stop this kind of premise like "my favorite deserves better".. because other sides have different…
Clearly AOS has offered more fame to all 3leads career than all the negatives they are complaining. Im no actor bias, so it left a bitter aftertaste when fans complain about AOS doing their actor dirty. Complaining is fine, they have the rights but some comments even go to the extend of saying their actor deserve better than this crap writing. R they even serious, the actors aren’t even known internationally & they complaining as if any project can bring fame to them actors. AOS is a great and unique story(period) despite my complaints too 🤣 but I’ll never put it that low.

Any actor is replaceable. To me JSM was not that perfect. Nobody is. The romance between JSM and LJW was so dry…
I get why people want JSM back, I too wanted at the end of pt1. That tragic ending just calls for a happy ending for both of them . However, if I were to judge based on their love for each other, I don’t feel it simply because l’ve seen her better w/ other actors that matched better w/ her. Near the ending JSM just seems to lack energy from the earlier eps too.

By the end of ep1(pt2) where UK held out his hand & GYJ calls him husband & jump onto him, I have already forgotten about JSM. GYJ and LJW looks that good together & the way they look at each other seals the deal.

everyone was saying how much they liked the chemistry between the leads, but I didn't really like it? first season…
There’s a difference between “like” and “have actual chemistry.” GYJ & LJW have some of the best chemistry in recent years. JSM had better chemistry w/ her other leading man.

I swear the Hong sisters had someone to help them with the first season, to make it into an epic blockbuster series…
That is very stretching it. You just go watch other movies then. If you read the producer’s interview from IG, both parts were planned for 2 different tone of dramas. Pt1 could have been trim down to 15ep, but I wouldn’t go as far as say make it into a 2hr movie.

Awe, make it happen. Them leaving the series was a downgrade for the show. It's likely not true, now that I think…
I have a feeling Moving 1-2 were filmed together & the leading lady was only doing the VO for pt2 in the studio when she posted about pt2. GYJ said the drama took a year to finish, which would explain why it took so long to film, because there’s no way pt1 would took a year to film that’s $ not well spent.

It is a new love story in a way which is I thought was necessary and worked well. I think they did that on purpose…
At the very end, both admit that deep down they must have known all along…she for unconsciously knowing he had to be her husband & despite his harsh words she never need an apology… him, despite outcasting everybody else, he just can’t denied all her hugs, kiss, pity, and sadness.

The prophecy said there will be 7stars who will help guide UK to finish his mission. At the end, it’s Naksu…
I didn’t discredit the other 6, I said Naksu was the 7th stars. Someone asked there’s only 6 of us & Yul reply there’s another soul who has always been beside/helping UK.

I’m still confused about a few things… they kept talking about how Naksu’s soul will disappear from Buyeon’s…
The prophecy said there will be 7stars who will help guide UK to finish his mission. At the end, it’s Naksu as the 7th stars, that’s when we know that Naksu was never gone & that JSR keep her alive.
Replying to Lotux Jan 15, 2023
Season 2 was more like jang uk and jin bu yeon, like he fell in love with a new person (even though she was naksu)…
He did fall in love w/ someone new, a version of Naksu that would have been if she had a loving home to call upon. He loved her at her worse and at that most innocent. At the end, you see that its the same Nasku w/ a mixture of her worse and innocence.
However, I do agree w/ you that ep9 where he found out about her true identity and then knowing that she was gonna leave again, he & her already accept the faith and did nothing to see if there was something that could be done (master Lee even mentioned he could If he wanted to save Naksu). So this part did not mix well w/ the JangUk who was devastated at not being able to save her the first time… then came a 2nd chance and still didn’t attempt to do anything. They both got lucky JBR doesn’t want to live either.
