This was....not good. The editing and story were all over the place. It's one saving grace was the ML. The actor is so good and can emote so well. I'd love to see him in bigger and better productions because he has the talent.

The giant NK guy sobbing in the streets and Hee Soo comforting him was a nice tie back to her parents. Yes, him and her dad tried to beat each other to death, lol, but I'm so happy they "adopted" him into their little misfit family.

It was a small scene, but I'm still not over the devastation of her seeing how her name was saved in his phone. It broke her and it hurt my feelings. She's a fake character in a show and I'm ready to fight on her behalf. Even his face and his attempt to hide it shows he knows it was horrible. Him, and his vicious gf, both told her in different ways this episode that she's not anyone important.

I think that's a red herring, just like the previews eps for today where it made it seem like the dad blamed Gu for ruining the reputation, but it was actually the sister it was said to. It either has to be his mom that took the money years ago or his sister offered Sarang the money who refused her and sis is causing trouble.

I like Yang Yang and will always watch his dramas, but I need to see him in a romantic comedy. He's so goofy and smiley off camera that it seems he doesn't feel comfortable yet in the acting required for an extremely emotional role. However, I think he'd kill in a romcom if he could bring some of his real personality.

I'm currently only speed watching this. It's very much a hate watch as I need Yang Cheng to end up sad and alone. He's a toxic user and cheater. His best friend Wang Ying isn't any better knowing he cheats and lying for him. I hate that they're probably going to give these two a happy ending together. gag. The FL also irritates me and I hope she grows stronger as the episodes air because the pale faced, mumbling, doormat routine is annoying. I have a lot of feelings about this drama as you can tell. LOL

This is such a sweet and charming romance. It's like a younger version of Meet Yourself (another excellent Chinese drama,) A calming and healing drama. A warm hug that protects you from the real world as you wrap yourself up in their love story. The leads only have eyes for each other, there's healthy communication and respect between them, and there's no stupid misunderstandings.

The love that I have for this drama. I've watched it three times and I've just now added it back to my watch list after this comment. I love them so much.

I love both of them, my two favorites, so I'm not biased one way or the other. For this you have to look at the number of works in 2022/2023. They have both worked consistently, but in terms of final products being released to the public Zhao Lusi has been in constant new releases, one after the other. While Bai Lu has filmed a ton of projects, not as many has been released yet and she has a few heavy hitting dramas just waiting on the OKAY to air. It's all about who's more visible to the public right now. If Kunning Palace ever gets released Bai Lu's numbers will also increase rapidly.

With these two leads even with a lack luster story and script they're going to deliver and deliver well. The chemistry was amazing, but I have an issue with the ending. They mentioned her abandonment issues because her mother focused on work over family, but the ending is their son wanting to sell the house or have them divorce because they're never home, especially the dad who is always out of town at the institute. This is after they spent 99% of the relationship going weeks without seeing each other. Was that supposed to be a cute ending?

So disappointing. To go from something fresh and great and to fumble it so bad is unfathomable. This show feels like it was written by two completely different people. The first half story and character/personalities were completely different from the second half. Even the tone and genre of the show was different. The only character that stayed the same was the trash MIL.

I was really enjoying this, but the redemption story of Fei Er has turned me right off. The ML continuously helped her, even to the downfall of his relationship. Even after everything imploded, she tried to blackmail the ML into being with her in return for info, and when that didn't work she gets a job at his hotel. She's moved onto a new target while still situating herself in the ML's world.
While the ML didn't hire her, he knew about it and is still indirectly helping her by allowing it. She's not learned anything to have a redemption arc. She's just changed herself to appeal to, and be next to, another guy. A true redemption for Fei Er would be an honest and heartfelt apology and moving away to build her life on her own.
