I agree with the first part. But the plot is supposed to be a mystery. The guy with the beanie? Pennhung (Chimon)?…
I know it's supposed to be mystery but it just feels not well thought out at some points. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm not done and don't yet have a full picture of the whole thing.
I don't really get why people in the comments don't like Nai, White, Tibet and Maki. Sure the way the plot neglected the other characters and focused on them at some point was kind of annoying but it wasn't particularly bad either. I actually like the characters. What I don't get is the plot. It's like it's trying to incorporate a bunch of things at the same time and it's so messy. One moment, there's some inspirational life lesson thingy going on, another moment, everyone is being weird, shady and creepy af. Especially the guy with the beanie, what's with his weird smiles??
Honestly, plot-wise, this doesn't really meet the standards of OG sageuks but at the same time, it is better than most recent ones. I especially really liked the way most of the characters were written. For the first time, I actually low-key rooted for the villain in a sageuk. And then the female lead's character was so good. She kept me watching the drama.
What was that ending ðŸ˜ðŸ˜ How do you end a drama by leaving so many things unresolved, just like that?? It wasn't even an open ending, it was just totally pointless
They should have just given us Yang Yang and Liu Yifei in their own drama, this was totally unnecessary. Funny how it came out the same year as the drama.
