I started this not even a week ago and I'm at episode 43. This is making me miss the longer dramas that we used to have! This might end up as my top 5 dramas!
Xu Kai is so different in this. Different as in good! I loved him in Ancient Love Poetry, but haven't liked his other dramas. I'm enjoying him in this.
Also, finally a female lead that doesn't sound like a baby or does stuff that doesn't make sense!

Be grateful they aren't following American release dates. We'd wait over a year or two for a new season or it would get cancelled or major actor changes. Season 2 is already filmed so we don't have to worry about actor changes.
I don't think it's a big dead to wait. It sucks, but at least we know it's coming and won't have to wait 2 or 3 years like Americans do.
Lolol episode 2. Why are the female hair reveals always so damn dramatic in C dramas? Princess Ying's hat fell off and she acted like she was in a Herbal Essence shampoo commercial 😂😂😂
Uh oh. The comments aren't making me confident about this drama. How is it that Luo Yunxi keeps ending up with these dramas? He's not a terrible actor!
It's a 10/10 for me. Any C-drama with a proper ending is A+ for me. We experience these stories and characters for almost 40 episodes (sometimes more with the older dramas) and go through laughter, grief, relief, etc with them and to have a rushed ending with 60 seconds of bliss isn't enough. So thank you Chu Yui Bun for giving us an ending that healed us! Thank you to all of the actors who brought these characters to life! Thank you to all the fans on MDL that make watching an airing drama so fun! See you at the next drama! 🩷🩷🩷
We are being lead to believe that XW is Xue Ding Fei, right? Who is the guy in the brothel also labeled as Xue Ding Fei?! Does XW just think he's the boy that was sent in the prince's place??

Episode 14 when JXN and XW are in his study remembering about the layer walnut cake, they continue the convo after that and XW says the Yan family can hold the coming of age ceremony for Yan Lin. XW says that he hopes the ceremony won't become a disaster again. JXN says in her head it won't be. Did I miss a scene where XW is confirmed reincarnated with his memories too? From flashbacks, we see that the ceremony ends in bloodshed. Or is this a mistranslation?
