Wow, this went from an excellent drama to me losing interest so fast in the last few episodes. Wtf. I'm sitting here just wanting to get to the end. They really dropped the ball with that last scene.
Solid 8 for OST, cinematography, story (until the end) chemistry
im like so confused im on episode 3 and im confused i dont even understand the plot and the story with yang ying…
The Wu country emperor was captured by the state of An. In order to get them back, Yang Ying volunteered to pose as a prince since they didn't want to send the actual princes in fear that they would be killed. Yang Ying volunteered so she could get a favor from her brother and sister n law and be allowed to marry who she wanted

He Lan Dou played such a convincing prince! There were parts where I totally forgot she was female! I love when C-dramas get the female in disguise right! I'm only on episode 35, and I know it's a BE, but I just wanted to give this actress praise for playing both parts so well!
This could have easily been 24 episodes. CXX is really funny when he can be and I liked ZRN and better in this than Love is Pancea (still haven't finished). 36 episodes, in my opinion, is just too long for modern romance dramas.
Still, it was funny and I enjoyed it. Solid 8 for chemistry and OST. They were truly funny together.
I wish our boy would stop getting paired with these terrible female leads and these awful scripts! I couldn't finish this and I'm sad because I want to support everything he's in, but even he can't save terrible co-star and a bad script.
Dong Shan died early morning and they had his death certificate and memorial hours later?! Something's fishy. He's not dead for real, right? Someone spoil it for me!
Hello fellow viewers! I'm starting this drama soon. Probably in the next day or so. I love Ancient Love Poetry and have viewed the character chart in the Discussion section. Anything else I should know before I go in? Like if pacing slow at first so I should get to at least episode X before deciding to drop or continue? Or if it's difficult to follow if it's been a year or two since I've watched ALP?
Finished! I see why everyone was happy with the ending. That's all we want as viewers! Not spending 40 minutes on conflict and flashbacks with 45 seconds of a happy reunion or whatever.
I really enjoyed this drama and glad I didn't listen to other people who said it wasn't worth the watch. I laughed so much in the beginning and then cried from episode 30 and beyond. I love the chemistry between these two and even though there were some misunderstandings, they made sense given their previous interactions.

Thank you for still being active in the comments!
