Taiwan needs to pick up all of the BL that China has banned! Please! They are so good at it! I didn't think I'd like this because of the relationship dynamics, but it was handled so gentle! No typical BL tropes of enemies to lovers or one ML being comically homophobic (TharnType I'm looking at you) or even a ML that is just toxic and overbearing.
Dropped halfway through the 2nd episode. I get that dramas need to find their footing, but they can still do that and remain interesting.
Why does the teacher look younger than the students? Why does the main FL have dead eyes? Nothing is keeping me here. Not even adding it to my dropped list lol
I'm actually hoping for a bad ending. Yi Na let's them get close and then exposes her in the end as the gutter snake that she is. BGW realizes he needs to get it together and him and his daughter live happily ever after
I really wanted to pace myself and not suffer with all of you waiting for episodes. I have so much stuff on my watch list and plan to watch. I HAD PLANS!
Why is the OST so good? Why is the story so good and sweet and tragic and healing at the same time? Halfway through episode 9 and I need to just pause it and let the other episodes air.
Episode 31 and while I don't hate it, modern dramas really need an episode cap. This could have easily been 24 episodes and got the story across and resolution. I'm actually ready to just skip to 37 to get this off of my list. Slice of life dramas aren't terrible, but they don't need the same amount of episodes like xianxia or fictional historical costume. There isn't a huge world to build.
Modern Chinese dramas really need to adopt the K-drama formula. 16-24 episodes and make them an hour. They spent too much time with the ex' s family and now too much on other drama with little romance. I've seen one or maybe two good kisses at this point. Like let's wrap this up. And now at the end we get introduced to a new character? Aiya....
I just finished it and enjoyed it. The 90 minute average episode made 16 episodes feel like I was watching a C-drama and some parts were draggy, but I still enjoyed it. Not sure why there is a battle in the comments. Lol if you hate it, state it and move on to the next drama. If you loved it, why waste time engaging with people who hated it? Not every drama is someone else's cup of tea.
Anyway, I laughed and cried many times. The visuals were nice and all of the actors did well. Their happy ever after was kinda abrupt, like a C-drama, but I wasn't unhappy with it. I wish they would have focused on that instead of the additional time skip
Lastly, Kim Ji Won is just freaking gorgeous! See y'all at the next drama!
I refuse to believe that everyone out there didn't have a mom like this or knew someone with a mom like this. It's crazy how so many viewers can't relate or even understand. I think she's well written and so many people can say they've experienced the same. Just because she's toxic, doesn't mean it's unwatchable. I love love complicated characters because it's so boring watching perfect people all the time.
Anyway, episode 19 and still enjoying the drama. We've had a tragic event that I hope brings are two leads closer.
