I don't think like that. ML experienced worse worse than the FL so obvious their views will be different. Also it doesn't make sense that she would be crazy for revenge when she didn't even grew up or know her dad. It makes sense her revenging her mother cause she has some memories of her and how she saved her whilst ML experienced hell imagine being locked up for eight years whilst being tortured or seeing your parents being killed in your face

To some people it's okay but i like watching a drama with both smart protagonists imagine if not for the male lead she would've died at the beginning. I get it why you said it was adapted from a video game but at least they were supposed to execute the story well . People hating Esther are weird but i understand hating her character cause she was naive and too innocent till the end. Her not being human doesn't she is supposed to be dumb. She was supposed to be too innocent in first episodes not till the end
