Does anyone have a release date of this movie in France ? I would love to see Xiao Zhan on a movie screen. Or if it will be available on a Chinese streaming platform?
Lighthearted drama with a modern twist. I really enjoyed this one despite some flaws.
First of all I appreciate the happy ending which makes it rewatchable. Second of all because of the amount of screentime our lotus demon was pure eye candy. Esther's performance was good but typical. She played the same role as in LBFAD which I liked but again the baby cry character gets annoying and didn't match her modern life personality which should have been more prevalent. The arc flipping rollercoaster given to the master at the end was horribly done. It would have been better if he died instead of the bamboo grandfather.
There were also some pacing issues and major plot holes. Sometimes I even thought I must have skipped an episode but I didn't. The attention to the details for the support roles was refreshing. The special effects were extremely well done and gorgeous. The shop explosion was my favorite. However the fei CGI was so bad it was almost comical. The dust mushroom demons were cute. π₯°
Am I still dreaming about this magical realm? Yes. Which is why I give it such a high rating despite the criticism.
1. sad and open ending2. intimate ? hmm well i think somewhat intimate for ML and FLkiss scene ? oh of course…
The entire support cast dies. Only 3 leads remain. The 4th (great demon) has only a thread of consciousness left so technically can return by cultivation. But the goddess will probably be dead by then. The last part isn't said but left for interpretation in extra half episode 35.
Exactly. My eyes hurt from crying. At every death I was like a baby with tears falling and my nose blowing.
For real. I need softer endings. And at least some acknowledgement by Bai Jui's parents and the Mountain sanctuary that those 2 died and saved everyone. And show our great demon pushing the swing! I'll be a mess all weekend.
I have a migraine from crying π. I anticipated sacrifices but this was too many. Every support role died. YingLei's last words were "I'm scared"??!!!! Why leave it like that??!! (Looking at you writers). Episode 35 helps but it's still missing parts for closure. I need a great demon to comfort now. π
I'm at a loss for words, I can't even do a proper review. π« Someone (or more) in our trio is surely going to die. πππ Sacrifices will be made. I fear the worst. πππ But who is our enemy now besides time?
