I haven't finish reading but that Xiao Zijin guy isn't that good either in the novel. He tried to kill Lianhua because he feel threatened if Xiangyi returns. Lianhua never expose himself as Xiangyi to him but that Xiao guy still insisted.

He doesn't end up with anybody if you ask about romance. He already moved on from Qiao Wanmian.

I'm amazed by how LLH and QWM resolve their past relationship. I don't blame Wanmian for leaving him because human somehow feels tired after some time especially if they don't get the same level like what they give. I can understand her.

Also, I'm intrigued by LLH when he told her the lie about LXY corpse. It's a way to help her just move on and never thinks back about the past since she'll be convinced that LXY really dead. Ah ep 9 gives me a grip then nervousness whenever someone suspects LLH. This is so good!

Just half way of ep 8 I'm dying from laughter. It's LLH fault for taking in another member to his Lotus House lol I can't believe he finally took in those two lmao.. But he's clever by restricting DFS power to help him. I like these brilliant move + great humor xD

For the cases, mostly it's the same. The thing they change is like the trio involvement. Early cases in the novel only solved by Li Lianhua and FDB will join in later cases but drama makes it duo/trio early. So it's more fun xD. As for the bigger plot, somehow it is still same. It's just, I'm not sure yet about FDB regarded LXY as his master in novel cuz I'm still on vol. 1.

Yeah Yingyuan & Tangzhou dubbed by professional voice actor while Xuanye is his original voice.

It's because Li Xiangyi has a skill called Yangzhou Man where he somehow can slow his age, so he able to appear younger. That's what I read from the novel.

Not first time. Character Xuanye from Immortal Samsara, Xiaoge from The Lost Tomb 2, Zhou Yi An from Draw the Line used his original voice.

Oh and love the OST too! The opening and ending gives me a good feeling :D

Loving this! I'm living for Li Lianhua antics and Fang Duobing pestering him lol.. Waiting Di Feisheng too as I'm still in ep 3. Also! The fight scene in ep 1 is amazing to me. Not excessive CGI, just a raw fight with sword and fast movement. The behind the scene showed their hard work filming that battle.
