The first time Iβm posting a commentβ¦ I just want to share my thoughts regarding Cheng Yi and awards. I believe…
You were able to put into words exactly how I felt. Cheng Yi is very dedicated to acting and it is his utmost priority. I respect his decisions. He's been working steadily towards being a great actor and gaining more attention the past few years hasn't changed his focus. I admire him for that. With his integrity and work ethic, I have no worries. His skills speak for itself. He is truly special as he doesn't get swayed by less important things. He is very wise.
Weeks after I finished watching this, I still think about Ying Yuan and Tangzhou. Chengyi really made those characters feel alive. And of course Xuan Ye too!!!!
Emotionally exhausted with this second half, but I loved the journey. Cheng yi was born for these roles. They…
Agreed! And here I thought Tangzhou and Liu Wei Yang were becoming good friends... despite the stupid advice (dressing up as Ying Yuan) he gave him lmao
for the ending :)))) they can scrape that ending T_T
Even his memories? That is the worst... I guess I gotta prepare myself for the drama. The jokes on me for hoping for a happy ending lol. Cheng Yi really knows how to pick them lmao. Im still hoping they make some changes in the script π
maturing is realizing SF was super toxic for always making decisions that he THOUGHT were good for XJ without…
Both characters were actually very flawed. It just so happens that Sifeng's sufferings were more visible (aka sacrificing himself and getting killed several times). They both have their own way of loving the other and it took them a long time before getting a middle ground. Sifeng suffered a lot but Xuanji can hardly be blamed for them because he did them willingly, almost always behind her back. She lacked the knowledge and senses to understand a lot of things from the beginning and instead of helping her understand, Sifeng dealt with things his own way instead. Intent on keeping her in the dark so she wouldn't get hurt. This is also why its so difficult for me to watch the times when she "betrayed" him because its no one's fault really. She's just making her own decisions based on what's in front of her. She also just got her emotions so we can't expect her to have that all consuming love and trust like Sifeng. Someone like her who grew up without her senses will most likely question her feelings that she can't understand and rely on facts laid in front of her. If she knew what he planned, she'd probably even help him achieve the things he wanted. Maybe using a different and less self-sacrificial method.
Thank you for answering my question!
