My understanding of EP6 is that JeongU and Hangyeol were going to Jeju together before JeongU's enlistment. JeongU ran into Hangyeol's ex, got beaten up, didn't want Hangyeol to see his face like that, his phone also broke, so he asked his friend to get the phone fixed and tell Hangyeol that he couldn't make it for the Jeju trip. In the car Jin has no idea that Akin was assaulted he just thinks he was having an affair with Johnny while Jin was away, that's why he is upset. And he knows Akin is lying to him because he said nothing happened, yet he's hiding a hickey and also Johnny answered Akin's phone that night so he knows they were together. Also Akin doesn't know he was assaulted either. He just knows that he was drunk and something happened with Johnny (probably assuming they were both drunk at the time). At that point only the audience knows what Johnny did, Jin and Akin have no idea it was assault. Akin is never victim blamed. As soon as Jin finds out what really happened he says sorry to Akin.
