Thought the revenge was pretty unsatisfying and poorly executed. Great soundtrack, but I got a little sick after hearing the same theme song for the 100th time. Ji Sung is excellent as always, but I can't say the same for any other actors here. The romance wasn't great, and I'm also someone who enjoyed the first half, but then the second half fell apart and dragged on forever for me.
I watched this movie not expecting much, but omg it was such a great watch. I loved the story of these two forming a unique and heartwarming relationship of care and comfort. I swear JS has insane chemistry with every FL he acts with, and I did not know that he can even sing so well. The comedy is excellent, pace is unbelievably good, and the acting is amazing. I'll never get that one song out of my head, and there's so many hilarious moments. 10/10 no flaws at all.
The leads and their stories carry this hard. The hospital cases can be memorable and interesting, but there's a lot of hospital politics which I didn't enjoy as much as these three trying to navigate their troubles, and find the will to keep moving forward as doctors even if they constantly get wronged by those they try to help or get pushed back by their own mistakes. Lot of sad moments that I felt related to me a lot and made me shed a few tears. Seriously, Ji Sung, Jo Jae Hyun, and Kim Min Jung are excellent actors with so much great chemistry and character development. Also, I watched Devil Judge a long while ago, and I have to say the romance between JS and KMJ is just as excellent as them 14 years later in Devil Judge. These two have an incredible chemistry that I would love to see more of. I don't tend to love romance, but here it's really well-done and plays a purpose in their character development (both of them lack something fundamental the other has as a doctor to gradually learn and grow with each other), with a great pacing. and really amazing acting from these two. Their eyes and actions convey so much love and care for each other in moments that aren't even meant to be as romantic as they become. Highly recommend 8.5/10
Oh goodness...that ending is tough to take. What an excellent cast. Shin Ha Kyun has evolved into my favorite actor,…
I highly recommend checking out Beyond Evil for SHK's incredible performance as well. The whole cast of BE is excellent and the story is very well-written and entertaining from the get go.
Fantastic lead acting from the brothers SHK and WB. The relationship between them and their mother is full of complications and tension, but at the heart of it, they're a very heartwarming family that love and care for each other. It's just sad that the writers are so unforgiving. Heartbreaking ending I did not expect, but at least there's hope at the end of the light.
In reality, King Taejong (formerly Lee Bang-won) was never in love with the Queen. It was just a political marriage…
I've watched a couple episodes of King of Tears and it doesn't nearly compare to the same quality masterpiece as Six Flying Dragons. I don't think it's that great. There's seriously no better depiction of Lee Bangwon's life than SFD.
I’m not an action fan, but this movie is a solid 10/10 for me. The revenge is incredibly satisfying, and the action feels raw yet precise, with the ML moving so smoothly that it’s like everything he does is calculated. The knife fights, especially, are some of the best choreographed I’ve seen. I could rewatch those any day of the week! I also appreciated the smart use of music, as there's certain moments of the story and action that hit even harder, feeling more unfiltered and real, because music isn't used. Both the ML and the young FL deliver fantastic performances, with a bond that feels authentic and compelling. Between the acting, soundtrack, camerawork, and storyline, there’s really nothing this movie is missing. Highly recommend!
Long live the Moutai trio indeed! Their brotherhood is really something special and I think the characters are really what make this drama so good. The case is well-written and entertaining, but seeing the differences between the past and the present, the heartwrenching sacrifices made in uncovering the truth, and the sheer determination and resolve of all these different individuals is what captured me. The transitions between the past and present are also so smooth in this unlike any drama I've seen before. Fantastic acting (especially Bai Yu and Zhao Yang), script, soundtrack, and camerawork all around. I couldn't stop after just a few episodes, so I ended up watching all of it in one sitting on my fortunate day off. I will wait for a chance to watch The Bad Kids next!
Super fun and entertaining watch with an incredible cast. This is my first time seeing YAI in a villain role and he played it to perfection. He commands presence in every scene he's in, feeling like a ticking bomb that can erupt at any second. He's evil, cruel, and ruthless, but there's also subtle moments that humanize him. Overall, a fantastic villain for this movie, and it made for a wonderful dynamic with HJM who's not fully righteous with his methods either.
I don't know why you would want to. Based on the reviews and comments, it seems like this is way worse than the prequel in both cast and writing. I just finished watching the prequel and I'm going to consider skipping this, since the prequel is already such a masterpiece that I don't want tainted.
The comment section is exactly why older K-drama fans have been camping in C-dramaland. Newer K-drama fans are…
Wow, you summed up my own thoughts perfectly. I have recently started watching and enjoying cdramas after a long time, and now I understand why kdramas don't hold that same appeal over me as they used to. Great comment!
I just finished my BJT dramas run! I also recommend Justifiable Defense (really powerful role), Ordinary Glory (love the main trio and lots of emotional acting), New Generation: Because I Have a Home (really fun and heartfelt character here, albeit a little annoying at first), Ping Pong Life (if you're into sports underdog stories) and Always on the Move (period drama where he works his way up as a cop). He's so versatile with his genres and plays so many different characters naturally as if he's breathing. I loved all these dramas of his, along with TFF, and the others recommended above!
I just finished watching Mobius and now I think I need to see him in more action thrillers. I swear he absolutely…
Target Person has really great action thriller with BJT but it has no eng subs. In Always on the Move, his storyline growing working his way up as a cop has lots of thrilling action with the fights he has. Otherwise, maybe try New Life Begins which isn't an action thriller, but there are some great action scenes in there with him fighting. Very cool scenes! Same with Destined where he has military battles. You could probably find clips on youtube.
I just watched Ep 6 which is the "Always on the Move" crew with BJT. So funny with all the competition and fun games, especially the "3,2,1 look this way" with the cups of water and the water cannons. Please recommend other funny episodes to check out!
