Title New Life Begins Spoiler
18 episodes in and I am liking the show but the things that I don't like 1. ML marriage even if it was forced…
1. Yeah Yuan Ying is really smart, but she's too capable and competent to be tied down as a wife in inner court. She's way better off going back and becoming an official. Her goal is to train the FL while she's with the ML. The marriage between the three looks okay, but Yuan Ying and the ML are only teammates not lovers
2. Well it's a historical drama. When women are given no freedom other than to be married off to men that choose them, it's obvious there's going to be a lot of concubines. An didn't deserve to get any of them pregnant and needed to repent first
3. Why the ML's birth mother wasn't able to care for the ML is explained later down around ep 28 and it's not really her fault.
4. Well the FL loves the ML and wants to be with him...

Sweet, simple, and light-hearted. Mainly enjoyed interactions between the two FLs and the love line of Tian and Ye Wen for which BJT takes all credit with his whimsical self that hilariously plays off the FL's serious personality. I couldn't bring myself to connect with any other characters. More scenes and romance between BJT and the FL would have been best for me, since the chemistry between the two is really great. There were unnecessary plots and the drama feels very rushed towards the end, especially with the abrupt but decent conclusion the love line got. Couple unanswered questions. The poor script and writing brings the rating down a lot, but the main cast did their best.

Additionally, I really think the western music that would play whenever the ML and FL meet is a little off-putting. It would have also been better for BJT and the FL to act out their younger selves in the drama, since the actors playing their younger selves look really different, and have a lot less chemistry. I really disliked seeing the backstory break the immersion for me. I think The First Frost did this so much better by having BJT and ZRN play their normal and highschool selves. 7/10

Another of BJT's versatile and impressive performances! Like others have said, I cannot imagine anyone playing San Shuang better than him. He's so hilarious and adorable as a goofball, but then there's serious moments where he's there for people, and you can sense how much sadness he hides behind his smile. Also haven't seen a ML this open with his feelings towards a girl he pursues. Janice Wu's chemistry with him is great and the chemistry between the whole cast. Great picks for all the hilarious elders. The storylines were great and so was the bond you can see forming between the ML and FL even through all their couple bickering, but I most appreciated the ones about their families like her grandma and his grandpa. Such great families that made me cry for them. I do just really hate how easy his dad got off, because that's not a person I could ever forgive. Feels like they rushed his conclusion since they had to end the drama, which drops the rating for me. 8/10

is there romance between the leads?
I almost didn't watch this cause of the other comment, but their comment is very misleading. The ML is really open about his feelings towards the FL as he pursues her and it's obvious the FL likes him too from the start, but she's just very stubborn about admitting her feelings cause he can be a dork. The way she teases and plays with him is pretty adorable, and the chemistry and growth between the two leads is great to watch. Very satisfying conclusion to their love line too. Just don't expect anything more intimate than hugs between the two.
On Irreplaceable Love Sep 13, 2025
The slowburn build-up between the ML and FL until ep 34 or so is not even that bad, but then the end has an unnecessary and annoyingly over-the-top and poorly-written revenge plot that catapults into one of the worst cliffhanger endings I've seen. Writers completely chickened out on the main thing I was looking forward to seeing in the family drama. Also I'm really surprised with how the writers seem to have only brainstormed that head-on-the-shoulder moments are all you need in a romance drama. Only watched this for BJT whose acting is still commendable compared to everything lackluster and horrible in this excuse of a story

The company is toxic and disastrous. It's torturous to watch. Some of the characters change personalities like…
I'll avoid spoilers since it seems like you haven't watched the drama much or at all, according to your drama list. Anyways, I didn't really notice a change of personalities like you say. There's different intentions behind different attitudes and actions. Also from my experiences as an office intern and worker, this isn't far from the truth about how a high-level company operates with a lot of egoistic, ambitious, and controlling people gathered on one floor. I also thought it's pretty clear why Wu Ke zhi continues to work at the company, as the reasons are even mentioned in a couple episodes, and it ties toward the ending too.

Just finished The Ordinary Glory (chinese remake) and it was a 10/10 for me in all aspects with an extremely satisfying ending. Should I bother watching this? Any major differences?

I just finished and it was amazing. All the best! I hope you enjoy

So much love for the characters and actors here. BJT is ridiculously versatile, that I continue to question myself if it's even the same actor from one drama to the next. This is an office drama so you do have a lot of frustrating and infuriating characters, but everyone plays their roles so carefully and endearingly that you won't be able to stop watching after the first handful of episodes. The way everyone's stories are written, as well as their personal development, really makes you root for everyone and understand why they became the way they are. They feel like real people with real problems that you've most likely had to face and overcome yourself. I do work in an office environment, and a lot of the workplace politics as well as the early co-worker experience were resembled accurately which surprised me. Yes, there are egoistic people just looking to control you, but there are also those that are strict for your own good which can be easily misunderstood. Endurance and patience is the key to understanding people! This reminded me of some real moments of frustration that made me cry, but as I endured, I also find myself cheering with pride and a huge smile on my face for the characters I came to understand and really love in this incredible journey. No real romance here, but I wish the possible pairing between ML (BJT) and a certain side character could have been a lot more fleshed out. I really liked seeing the two together. The ending was really unexpected, but I was fully satisfied. The last couple minutes even had me doing Team IV's signature cheer. This has easily one of the most well-written, hilarious, and fun trios I've seen with a perfect dynamic. All the mentor-mentee relationships on display are great. 10/10
Underrated. I could watch way more episodes of this. Bai Jing Ting is such a phenomenal actor. His character is so goofy, but he played it so well, full of all the right emotions in the comedic and sincere moments. Xiaolong comes across so adorable and endearing because of his acting, and I was so invested in his personal growth that I felt so proud for him by the end. I also love how hilarious, supportive, and adorable the rest of the villagers are, and his chemistry with the FL is so great. They both push and improve each other, and Xiaolong is just way too fun to see teased. If this was longer, it could have made for an even more fulfilling relationship between the two if we could see more of the process. The village's progress also felt a little too fast, overall, and could have benefitted from better pacing over more episodes. 9.5/10

Title Someday or One Day Spoiler
i'm so so angry to real yun ru.... she's very selfish. She's depressed and has an introverted character that's…
She is really frustrating to watch at the end. But I guess it wouldn't be easy to know that another version of you is a lot more liked by all the people around you than your natural self. She's essentially an introvert, compared to HYZ who is a lot more extroverted. She wants to be liked for being herself by the people around her, but only MJJ likes her, which she mistakenly takes as him trying to forcibly change her after everyone tries to. Her self-worth and insecurities get the better of her, especially after LZW confronts her about HYZ being gone. She didn't understand MJJ intentions then, but I'm sure she grew up and matured after HYZ's words, enough to stick by MJJ's side and live a happy life.

This drama was nominated for many awards, but I can't match the name Kang Yeon. The 32nd China TV Golden Eagle…
It should be Jiang An, not Kang Yeon. Very well-deserved this drama won those awards, not just the nominations.
