On The Glory Part 2 Mar 26, 2023
I haven't experienced such prolonged and satisfying Schadenfreude in a long time. I love revenge stories, but often they end up being too Christian, i.e. it's really bad to seek revenge, turn the other cheek, forgiveness blahblah. Here, not only the plot was very economic in the elements it used to build up and resolve the story (the outcome for every character was composed of the story elements introduced early on), but what the MCs got out of it was something new. They are irreversibly changed, yes, but not only by the pain they experienced at the hands of others, but also by the kindness other people gave them freely. I find this kind of conclusion to be very satisfying. 10/10
