For god's sake let people make their questions, nothing in media is there just because. People can enjoy something and at same time understand what's behind and why something it's showed that way. Media pretty much rules our society, our taste and likes. If you want to pretend it's just fun and distraction it's yout right, but others have the right to analize why some things are depicted the way they are.
I totally agree with you. In the last years there was so many good ML and I thought that horrible trend of domineering, abusive ML that was so common years ago had come to an end, but no, we are in 2023 and it seems to be happening a come back of this wrist-pulling, force-kissing obsessive, crazy jealous, abusive kind of ML. Till the End of the Moon, Only for Love and now this one, all very popular dramas. I'm trying but I can't pass the ML, too stiff, always talking like a robot looking to nowhere, squizzing his eyes to look serious... I've never seen any drama with this actor but in this one he isn't doing a good job.
At the beginning this drama seemed to be a light and silly romance but soon became all pain, tragedy and suffering. Even the happy end doesn't feel so happy. The prodution is low budget, the action scenes are most laughable and the acting are not very good. The protagonists were ok, Ireine Song was the best for me, the poor girl had to cry many liters, I bet she had to drink much water to rehydrate. The ML made a good job as the fool but when he was "normal" he was just like a store mannequin that cries, but he is very beautiful and this compensates any flaws LOL. 7/10 for me.

I think that her decision in the drama makes perfect sense as well. I don't even see she being in love with ZXW yet, they have attraction but she doesn't seem to love him. She just want to live her life but he keep trying to force her to stay with him! Her wish of a calm life is stronger than her attraction for him and this don't make her selfish... she isn't obliged to accept his feelings just because he is being "kind" to her.
