Will be comparing to original Go Ahead. Most of drama I though its about grade worse ... like 8.5/10 meanwhile Go ahead is like 9/10. At the end of drama I would grade both as 9/10 --------- Family by choice version did much better at romance side in second part of drama for every character. Which was weakness of Go ahead. ------------ Go ahead did much better at building family relationship and wholesome moments in first half of drama. --------- Forgot to add Family by Choice got more eyecandy and likeable young actors. As for fathers and mothers I liked more Go Ahead.
Well its mine opinion. Which can be little biased since I seen Go Ahead first. But was about two years ago. Still I remembered story quite well to compare while whole watching.
One more thing I think I need explain mine rating system. I usually try rate even by type like minidrama aint really good to compare to full production etc Moreover I never drop drama so all completed dramas are on list.
10/10 [0% on mine watchlist get this]- unicorn - just doesnt exist would have to be perfect drama I would rewatch 3x in week etc 9,5/10[0,4% on mine watchlist get this] - mine favs usually dramas around 8-8,5 quality but I loved them for some reason. Usually some roles,actresses etc enough for me rewatch many times. Lately with enlargement of mine completed drama list it seems much harder for new dramas get there. 9/10[11% on mine watchlist get this] peak drama - about best rating I give to normal drama. Here belongs well acclaimed dramas I liked or above average dramas which earned mine favor. 8,5/10 [28% on mine watchlist get this]above average drama - usually drama with average story but good acting. Or average acting but good story. if both was very good it would get to 9 8/10 [50% on mine watchlist get this] - average in literal meaning dramas of this type are very common, but somehow enjoyable 7,5/10 [7% on mine watchlist get this] - usually average or low production drama which was very boring for me. Story wise or I didnt liked actors etc. 7/10 [1.2% on mine watchlist get this] - drama which I literally hated for story or actors and was tortune to watch.
0/10 - [0,1% on mine watchlist get this literally just one movie] -special selection where I dont dare give rating. Mainly for story being traumatic and based on true story. I unworthy to rate it as drama when its story of somebody suffering.
Not really sure if somebody even watch these lists. But I plan to keep going and keep it updated at least it makes me remember chronologically dramas I seen and mine thoughts about them. /----------------- But if anybody watches this list please let me know. Its nice to know I dont do it just for myself.

Since its 30min per eps its practically 50 eps. Just like watching 3x usual korean[16eps]dramas. ------------------------- Its worth time, BUT since its such long drama it takes quite few eps to introduce all characters and overall situation. I mean there aint much of action for romance at least for first 10 episodes. Overall this drama got very nicely set out romance storylines. Yeah multiple pairs with each being quite good. And drama give its screen time to each of them.
Shortly its good but you need dedicate more time to it than just 10 episodes
Yeah for chinese minidrama its quite good. without lacks of cute, sweet and hot scenes. Actors are quite eyecandy[though I focused mainly on female lead] . At other hand there is quite obvious her lacks of acting experience.
