Lee Joon Gi is such an amazing and charismatic actor. But pairing him off with a female lead who is not able to exude the same prowess as him, and even worst, bad in acting with a stiff face, has always been a problem. Look at the disastrous pairing of Joon Gi and IU in Moon lovers. The best pairing for Joon Gi is Moon Chae-won in Flower of Evil. Hope Joon Gi chose better next time. Why can't directors pair him off with stronger or charismatic actresses.

To summarise:
Season 1 is the real deal.
- Couple - Jang Uk & Mu Deok-i (Please don't die and stay together T_T !!!!!)
- Strong plot
- Everyone carried the show.

Season 2 is a heavy budgeted TV commercial for Go Yoon Jung.
To show how pretty she is. To show her dying to get married for all the episodes. To show her as a damsel in distress who needs to be saved by a man. Lee Jae Wook's acting is monotonous as compared to Season 1.
- Couple - Jang Uk & Nak-su (Whatever....I don't even empathise with them)
- Lousy storyline
- Supporting actors and actresses carried the show.

Totally agree with you! Jung So Min made me cried and laughed with her in Season 1. Go Young Jung was basically a pretty, act-cute, dying-to-get-married damsel in distress in Season 2, needing Lee Jae Wook's help. After Episode 1 of Season 2, i literally don't care about whether Go Young Jung is going to survive or not. It's like i don't even bother about Lee Jae Wook and Go Young Jung.
