Unpopular opinion (my very first review here in kisskh)

I've really enjoyed AoS1... and the cliffhanger on that season led me to watch other fantasy-action drama (while I was waiting), such as Evernight... which I think has a lot of similarities in AoS1... Evernight2, Legend of Awakening, Who Rules The World, Ancient Love Poetry, Fight Breaks Sphere (my fave so far, still waiting for the second season though), and The Untamed. I'm just waiting for Immortality, although I thought Arthur Chen and Leo Wu would've been better leads since I've become a fan of those 2 actors while watching their dramas. I just new both of them while waiting for AoS2 lol. I'll binge-watch their other dramas since I've finally completed AoS2.

Going back, AoS also reminded me of The Untamed. The villains want to get the ice stone in AoS2, whereas stygian tiger amulet in The Untamed.

The comic parts are really funny. However, I just thought that AoS1 is better, story-wise and action-wise. There were times that I felt the story is being dragged, that the whole plot revolved around Bu-Yeon until Ep8. Dont get me wrong, the actors are great... the FL both in S1 and S2 are equally awesome... I just felt that the fight scenes are somewhat lacking. The battle between Jang Uk and Jin Mu (& Unanimous Assembly) is anticlimactic, same goes with Jang Uk vs Fire Bird, which (reminded me of Ning Que vs Vermilion Bird in Ever Night and) died after 3 hits: 1 using his energy, 2 freezing, and 3 shooting an arrow, without a chance for the Fire Bird to fight back lol... I think the fight scenes between Jang Uk and Go Won in AoS1 are better and more exciting. Maybe I could have just watched Ep9 and Ep10 and still understood everything since there's a lot of flashbacks.
