omg maybe because the most popular/watched k dramas on Netflix are romcoms 😱😱
Doesn’t matter lol. Did you forget that Netflix is a company that wants to make profit? They for sure know what shows they produce have the most viewers.
Also you gonna gloss over the fact that Netflix has The Glory, My Name, Bloodhound, Squid Games none of those are RomComs
I just started watching and am really enjoying the show but who allowed Yoon Sang Hyun to keep that mustache stubble dude looked like a creep in every scene lmaooo
I'm losing faith in the people on this website's taste how does this show only have an 8.0 rating? This drama so far has a really good plot with a very unconventional protagonist that you root for.
loll opinion. There is for sure bias from you from somewhere the show only has 2 episodes out and they are still world building and you are calling it trash already
Awful ending?? I wouldn’t say it is an awful ending just an ending the viewers did not want.
Really i do not think so it was pretty obvious why they broke up. @sashaa did a pretty good job in their explanation on why they drifted apart after he went to the US after 9/11
"Na heedo was kind of neglected all her childhood, she has always been the second choice, and her mom kept putting her job above her. She was in the dark and kept waiting her mother to show up and give her some attention. Her mom kept ghosting her and never showing up when na heedo needed her. And everytime she was expected to adjust and understand with no hard feelings, because apparently her mom had no other option
It is not fair that she is expected to adjust that way in her adult relationship as well. She deserves someone who can be actively present in her life as a strong emotional support and fill the void of loneliness in her heart. When this cycle was getting repeated with baek yi jin, once again she is expected to understand and sacrifice everything and adjust for someone else, she deserves better. She is not obliged to wait around for anyone forever
But i understand why baek yijin was absent most of the time, i am in no way faulting him but i also understand why na heedo did not want to be in the middle of a situation where once again she is all alone.
Also the main plot on this drama was not romance, idk why everyone feels like they were baited to watch a romance show and was betrayed with the 'unhappy' ending"
I understand though I was in the same boat as you but the way I look at it I enjoyed the journey of the two and will remember the good instead of that sad ending :(
I liked Song Kang in Sweet Home. But he really fails in Romance Drama where his acting is boring and uninspiring. Nevertheless, Love Alarm, Forecasting to be some examples
But could also be the fault of bad writers hopefully they do right by him think he excels when the show is dark and his character has actual substance
It is a bittersweet ending that is realistic and open ending but a fantastic drama with beautiful visuals (Bae Suzy and Yang Se Jong!!).
Also you gonna gloss over the fact that Netflix has The Glory, My Name, Bloodhound, Squid Games none of those are RomComs

Could it be because of the age gap?
