tl;dr The unhinged woman came on cue LOL.

I gave receipts of Linmon CEO saying the very thing you claimed to be impossible, gave receipts of Hot Searches linking XZ to Ten Day Ultimatum which are hosted by Ten Day Ultimatum official weibo and Tencent YXH, none of them hinted other actors' names except of XZ.

Please take a hike and fight that battle in the idol costume drama comment section that's ~very clearly~ linked to your fave and stop polluting this page with butthurt stench.

Anyway, I'm so excited for the drama adaptation! A few weeks ago Tencent posted their upcoming high profile projects and Ten Day Ultimatum was at the top with Three-Body Problem.

It's a tough pill to swallow for some people that a big company only covets Xiao Zhan for a role, especially fans of the guy who paid for Bilibili video edits just to prove he's right for QX role (but failed) and fans of the guy who wanted both A Small Town Remedy and Ten Days lead roles (also failed).

It's super funny seeing how someone in the comment area sounded more and more unhinged over a cake that's not even their fave's. Don't they have another idol costume drama role they should fight over? :D

So many pressed paninis over this cake LOL. If you think there's no precedent of a big production company outright saying that Xiao Zhan is the Only Choice for the role, Linmon CEO (the production company of Ten Day Ultimatum) is here to say hold my beer (there's even a video!):

Linmon CEO Chen Fei during the official announcement of A Small Town Remedy: "To us, Zhan Zhan was the one and only right choice for this role."

Tencent insiders said that Xiao Zhan is also the only person considered for Ten Days, the 1005 hot searches a few days ago literally spelled out "It's XZ so everyone back off".

3 Weibo Hot Searches (related to XZ) and the #1 Hot Search was directly hosted by Ten Day Ultimatum

"#Xiao Zhan, the male lead in Ten Day Ultimatum, has never changed#" hot search hosted by Tencent's YXH. There are many more, informed people who knows their way around Weibo should have no problem looking for the Hot Searches.

Want to know the reason why Tencent suddenly came out with all these press releases a few days ago? Because they're terrified someone will cut the line in the queue of Xiao Zhan's projects and some serial lickers spread rumors about Xiao Zhan's involvement in this project.

As wise people always say: "C-Ent is C-Ent and Xiao Zhan is Xiao Zhan" :)

If this drama is really chasing Xiao Zhan, they will have no issue waiting for him. If director Zheng Xiaolong could wait for him to finish filming Legend of Condor Heroes with Tsui Hark, I'm sure this production of Tencent x Linmon won't mind waiting for him to finish filming another key project of Linmon.

Xiao Zhan was so successful in Milan Fashion Week. More than 140 overseas media coverage, multiple reports on Italian TV and basically stole the show at Gucci and that was pointed out by foreign media, not Chinese media which can be biased. Glad to see him also having fun sightseeing in between work, both brands treating him very well. Tods flew him over to their HQ, he also went to Gucci Garden in Florence and 4 bodyguards keeping him safe. He's also noticeably more free overseas as it is obvious from his multiple Weibo and Instagram updates. I hope he gets to travel often in between projects.

The Longest Promise, Where Dreams Begin and Sunshine With Me.. all with strong production teams and talented costars. Shi Ying, Xiao Chun Sheng and Sheng Yang will gain him more and more fans. People tend to underestimate his nationality and his general public audience, they said his dramas do well and are talked about because he's popular, which is terribly wrong. Fans can't boost TV ratings and all his 3 recent dramas aired on TV and all did really well.

Since The Untamed exploded he has proven that he is able to carry drama projects and attract investments and does not rely on his costars' popularity unlike some other artists. He doesn't do aggressive marketing and buys hot searches every day, marketing companies get him hot searches because he brings them traffic and KPI.

When fans of others try to pull him down either by subtle shading or outright bashing, it just shows how insecure and envious they are of Xiao Zhan's talent and him having an appeal to a wide audience.

Winners focus on winning, losers focus on winners.
